• Directs and supervises the installation, maintenance, repair, trouble-shooting and modification activities carried out on a wide range of electrical equipment, control panels, power distribution systems and associated switch gears in the Pasta production plant.
• Implementing preventive maintenance schedules of various machineries and instruments to increase machine up time and equipment reliability.
• Proactively identify areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipment’s through application of trouble shooting tools.
• Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in Operations & Maintenance expenditures.
• Provide technical support to the operation on engineering related matters to minimize possible engineering risk.
• Preparing / maintaining and updating job files for both hardcopy and softcopy including drawings, catalogues and manuals.
• Maintaining and updating products library.
• Prepare short, medium and long term, routine and preventive maintenance programs.
• Learn and apply maintenance best practices and write detailed repair reports.
• Plan, schedule and carryout maintenance works of 220/110 kV, 110/11kV, substation equipments like Transformer, CT, VT and circuit breaker and carryout the operational activities of the same.
• Give permit to work on 220 KV, 110 KV, 11 KV transmission lines by consulting with Load dispatch center
• 220KV transmission line maintenance works, supply change over and other operations as per the instructions from Load dispatch center and by analyzing loading situations on the line.
• Supervising the functions of troubleshooting & predictive/ shutdown maintenance for identifying areas of obstruction/ Breakdown and reducing machinery downtime to minimum.
• Monitor all equipment's healthiness and maintain the record of equipment loads, temperatures, counter readings oil and gas pressure readings.
• Preventive maintenance and break down work for SF6 Breakers (ALSTOM, ABB, TELK), Vacuum circuit breaker (ALIND), CT, CVT and isolator.
• Check for hotspots and conditions of Line Feeders, isolators, Reactor bays, Bus Coupler Bus section, Arrestors, Bus bar Protection Panels etc in a timely manner.
• Carryout operation, switching and earthing of Substation Equipments as required for the work.
• Work priority, Safety precaution as per work location, Power restoration with a least time.
• Coordinating with specialized departments of the company like protection, SCADA to obtain their requirements and prepare specification for them.
• Familiarity with protection relays in transformer and feeders and metering equipments.
• Conducting basic Engineering Studies and calculations for fixing equipment basic parameters and ratings
• Imparting floor training to operating people for enhancing their knowledge and improving the efficiency.
• Prepare preliminary technical reports related to substation equipment breakdowns and other maintenance activities.
