Managing a Team and a Significantly large Crypto VPN business across physical and virtual routers and a team of two senior product managers. Developed strategy to grow the business and play a key role in Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and VPN as a Service markets. Implementing the strategy with 1-3 years’ roadmap planning.

Key achievement is the development from a concept to a blockbuster success of a routing product estimated to book hundreds of millions in next several years.

•Designing next generation networks for cable segment based on REST, NETCONF/YANG, TR-069, centralized key/policy management with GETVPN and device management with UPnP
•Grew the overall business by double digits by protecting the VPN business at branch deployments
•Manage roadmap, strategy and business of DCI features across all of the IOS XE platforms. Grew the DCI business by 10x in 4 years and added 300+ customers
•Managed Threat Defense IOS and IOS-XE platforms - grew the business by 16%, 17% respectively in two years and added 100+ customers.
•Managed unified communications and session border controller business to enable SPs offer managed Telepresence business - from concept to a 116% y/y growth business.

Team Lead, Edge Routing Business Unit
To help our technical marketing, I assumed responsibilities of TME and worked to ensure that Cisco SBC later renamed to Cisco Unified Border Element become the #1 SBC in the market

•Lead TME to define product performance, Unified Collaboration and Telepresence requirements
•Developed collaterals and provided training to fields/customers/partners to deploy products with no-pains
•Responsible for business across enterprise and service provider segments - Assist field to help close sales. Managed customer engagements, POCs, escalations to successful resolutions

I joined Cisco Systems as a Technical Leader in the Engineering organization to build and nurture a team that was charged with the testing unified communications, video and collaboration solutions.

•Built and managed a cross-functional team of 8-members to introduce Cisco SBC to the market
•Managed System Test activities that include developing, executing test artifacts and delivering results
•Hands-on experience in testing Voice, Video, Multicast, Broadband, IPsec, NAT and ZBFW features
•Led the Proof-of-Concept activities on the proposed RSVP implementation on 7200/ASR100

I led the Architect team that deployed the next generation of unified communication networks. Provided mentorship and training to peers and juniors to disseminate information and effectively utilize manpower.

Key achievement includes rolling out next generation networks to launch bundled VoIP services to 4-million customers while keeping competitors at bay.

•Designed and built Next Generation Networks to offer Voice, Data and Video services - network architecture included Broadsoft switches, Acmepacket SBCs, and Sonus MGCs
•Performed traffic engineering analysis to deploy session borders strategically/cost-effectively
•Designed/build T-Systems reference network in the lab to stage/certify services before deployment
•Configured ATM/E3/ISDN PRI technologies that enabled Voice/Data communications

Worked with a Management Consultant who came to revive Padcom's products, institute best engineering and QA practices and induce a culture change. I also contributed towards the development of a QA strategy that aligned test planning & execution with customer’s needs. To implement the QA strategy, I developed test plans and network topology maps that simulated & tested TotalRoam in customer’s networks.

Signaling Analysis Services
Contributed towards the development of a strategy that enabled the Signaling Service group to offer SS7 over IP testing service. Then during the Y2K compliance era, I led a team of 3 associates and successful completion of a 1M+ project that included gap analysis; analyzed client network requirements and tested core elements (routers, firewalls) and Network Management Systems

•Worked as a Consultant to do Technical Audit and certify products that to be deployed in Tier 1 & 2 Service Providers.
•Managed relationship between product vendors and end-customers while maintaining full transparency and accountability
•Contributed towards the new testing service launch strategy: offer SS7 over IP testing service
•Led a team of 3 associates; performed gap analysis; executed Y2K related functional testing Analyzed client network requirements; tested core elements (routers, firewalls) & NMS

Key achievement is the migration from Novell to Microsoft environment for networks and applications
