In authority to manage all matter on plant and projects. Assist the Works Manager Plant and Project manager to ensure all HSE elements are implemented and monitor the compliance to achieving zero incidents and zero fatalities. Maintain and control daily Safety practices with regular checks of work sites ensure that hazards are identified; precautionary measures are taken and provide advice. Plan and supervise the regular inspection and testing of all fixed firefighting equipment e.g. fire pumps, extinguishers, hoses and fire protection /detection systems. Participate in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures. Plan and carry out detailed safety inspection/ audits of all field locations, facilities, equipment’s and working practices. Plan and conduct regular trainings, drills and ensure that Company’s safety policies and procedures are adhered at plant and projects sites as well.
Was heading the H.S.E department of Prefab Services Pvt Ltd, at 18MW CFB Power Plant Project in ICI Soda Ash Business Khewra.
Responsible to insure client’s Health and safety policy is implemented trough out the project period by monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the practices. Make recommendation to senior management team and support managers to maintain the safe systems of work also assist in the identification of training needs for employees, develop and deliver training as required. Managing the team of 8 people which include supervisor and HSE officers. Conduct audits, inspections and awareness.
As HSE site in-charge I was responsible for project site of ICI Fiber Polyester CFB Power Project involved in complete mechanical work of plant. Manage three safety officers, on project employing 200 staff. I ran training programs, conducted inspections and tool box talks and raised safety awareness on site by my regular visits and monthly audits with client team, devised safe systems of work following Job Safety Analysis on all operations. Reportable accident frequency rate was 0. (0.72 Million man hours worked without injury)
Managing three safety officers on project employing 150 employees at ICI fiber Polyester CFB Power Project. Directly responsible for involving all electric work which include installation of instruments, panels, termination, cable trays and cable laying, which involves scaffolding, work at height and confined space with other activities. Responsible for conducting safety talks, training, seminars and promotion, also reviewing method statements, risk assessments. Accident Frequency Rate of 0.92 at the time I departure.
Working as part of the safety team responsible for health and safety of workers during gas wellhead up-gradation project of Tajjal 1, 4 and Miano 5, 7, 8 for OMV Pakistan. In the tenure on site of over 500 men at peak the project HSE team sustained astonishing reputation. This was achieved by constant supervision of the operation and managing all HSE issues on site.
As HSE Officer at Sawan 12, Miano 12 and Latief block wellhead up-gradation projects of OMV Pakistan was to support the HSE team in implementing HSE Management system at site by conducting tool box talk, supervising the work activities to insure the safe practices and attending client safety review meetings and resolve the issues.
