Working at the #2 position as Department Manager in the Procurement Division which while catering to the Sourcing requirements of the 6 group companies manages an annual spend of Rs. 25 Billions. Major responsibilities include:
• Defining the strategy for the Division
• Spearheading the Group’s shipping, Logistics & Freight Forwarding function
• Leading the Contracts Function for the group
• Leading the Sourcing activity for Fatima Energy, Reliance Sacks along with Leading the Sourcing in the categories of IT, Civil Construction, Packaging Material, Commodities etc. for all the Group companies
• Preparation of annual Divisional Budgets, defining KPIs & Sourcing Plans for achievement of corporate goals
Worked as the National Logistics Manager in the Fertilizer Business; Major responsibilities as Head Of The Function included:
• Lead the process of Distribution Resource Planning for disposal of 2.3 MMTPA of various fertilizer products worth Rs. 50 billions from two Plant sites (Pak Arab & Fatima Fertilizer)
• Commercial negotiations and contract management for transportation worth Rs. 1billion/annum
• Commercial negotiations and contract management for offsite warehousing to the tune of 145, 000 Mtons at close to 80 distinct locations
• Leading the process of strategic planning for the department, objective setting and defining KPIs of the Logistics function for accomplishment of the corporate goals
• Preparation of annual departmental budget for Logistics Function
• Main scope of the job includes Planning & Coordination with different stake holders involved in the Production/Distribution Chain for efficiently meeting the customer demand. Inventory, Warehouse & Transport Management. Leading and driving the activities of Distribution/Logistics teams based at Plant sites, Head/Regional Offices and warehouses for delivering optimum services to internal as well as external customers
for the Oil Marketing Business Unit of the company having other stakes in Oil Refining, Petrochemicals, Shipping, IT Networking Services and Automobiles. Major responsibilities as the Head Of The Function included:
Planning, Procurement and management of entire Supply Chain of bulk fuels and Lubricants
Commercial negotiations and contract management with the refineries and other suppliers of Fuels and Lubricants for Procurement of fuels & Lubricants
Preparation of annual departmental budgets for Supply & Logistics Function
Representing the company in various sub committees of the Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC) to ensure that the company’s point of view is properly expressed and it’s interests with respect to prevailing issues are adequately safeguarded
Representing the company at various Government forums like Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Ministry Of Petroleum & Natural Resources(MOP&NR) etc
Main scope of the job included; Planning & Procurement, Vendor Selection & Development, Commercial negotiations and Management of long term contracts with suppliers of bulk fuels & lubricants, operators of oil storage terminals, space providers for warehousing of lubricants/Engineering Items and hauliers for transportation of Fuels, lubes & Engineering Items. Focal person for implementation of EHS guidelines in network business

Planning, Procurement and Warehouse Management of inventory of packaged goods and Network Engineering items having a turnover of more than USD 5 millions/year for the entire country
Representing the company in various sub committees of the Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC)
Coordinating and supervising the activities of 11 permanent and 16 contract staff based at 12 different locations across Pakistan
Preparation of annual departmental budget for Supply Function
Pure Telethalic Acid manufacturing business of ICI which is the only plant in Pakistan established for producing PTA with an investment of USD 500 millions. Major responsibilities included:
Management of supply chain right from the origin of major raw and packaging materials until the final product was delivered to the consumer after processing of raw materials through different stages of production, packaging and handling at different stages of the Distribution Channel.
Responsible for Imports Planning, Procurement and management of raw/packaging materials inventory worth USD 200 millions/year.
Responsible for warehouse management of finished goods inventory worth USD 220 millions/year
Responsible for contract management with the terminal/storage handler of liquid chemicals(in bulk)/feed stock worth USD 23 K/year
Secretary of the Sales & Operations Planning Committee
Distribution and Warehousing for the Crop Protection Sector of the group.
Major responsibilities included supply chain management with focus on imports planning and order execution of the inbound logistics, warehouse management and distribution resource planning for the outbound logistics i.e finished products after co-ordinating with the production, sales and regional staff of all the seven warehouses throughout Pakistan. Focal person for implementation of HSE guidelines in warehousing function
Member of the Product Development Team whose main objectives were
Development of new products/new markets, finding new ways/new uses for the products after focusing on the changing requirements of the customers to meet the company’s objectives of operational excellence and sustainable growth.
the Keamari Terminal which is the largest refined oil handling/storage facility of Chevron in Pakistan.
Major responsibilities included ensuring efficient supply chain management by focusing on availability of all the required products on one hand and meeting customer’s requirements on the other hand.
