• Coordination of MEP activities between Consultant, MEP Contractor and Local Authorities.
• Reviewing / Checking of MEP shop drawings with respect to Architectural / Structural / ID Drawings.
• Reviewing / Checking of MEP Material Submittals / Engineering Calculations / Method of Statements with respect to project specification and forwarding to Consultant / Client for approval.
• Raising design / site issues and discussing with consultant and clarifies through RFIs / CVIs etc.
• Coordination with MEP Contractor to submit the As Built Drawings, Operation & Maintenance manuals / Trainings for the proper handing over of the project.
• Coordination with MEP contractor for Testing & Commissioning of MEP equipments such as AHUs, FCUs, Pumps, Fans, Transformers, LV Panels, Fire Alarm system, BMS system etc…
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to senior management.
• Ensure performance of the work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications of the client with strict compliance with the Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) requirements.
• ¬¬¬Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approvals or rejection, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc. and sign at the end of each day.
• Coordinate weekly and monthly progress reports (project progress, material procurement, submittals and approvals, manpower utilization, look ahead).
• Follow up the daily MEP work of subcontractors.
• Resolve technical and coordination issues between MEP & other services.
• Monitor MEP subcontractor performance and report to MEP Manager.
• Participate in Review of MEP subcontractors payments.
• Study/Review of tender documents, scope of work, drawing, BOQ, Specifications, Client requirements & etc. from the tender documents for proper estimating works.
• Preparing technical queries for ambiguities in drawings, specifications & BOQ.
• Prioritize RFQ’s that require more time to get quotation & major cost items.
• Follow up with suppliers/sub-contractor to obtain quotation in time, clarify when to all their queries & meetings with the suppliers when required.
• Represent the company on behalf of electrical department in dealing with Consultant/clients, authorities and suppliers.
• Cross checking of Approved IFC drawing and raising RFI if required.
• Coordination with other departments, preparing shop drawing based on builder work drawing and submitting to consultant and Authorities for Approval.
• Answering the letters of subcontractors relating to scope of work or for any technical queries.
• Calculation/sizing of electrical cable, circuit breaker (DB, SMDB & LV-MDB) & Capacitor bank.
• Load schedule, voltage drop and electrical schematic diagram.
• Coordinating with civil architect & technical team to ensure that there is no clashing or conflict between civil & MEP services.
• Checking the tests reports of Pile Caps, checking the readings and ensuring the pile cap should be used Earthing & Lightning protection.
• Confirmation from civil team that dedicated rebar used as down conductor for earthing & lightning protection in the columns are going upto the roof.
• Focusing on civil project timeline and coordinating with related zone construction manager to ensure MEP works are completed in time and MEP clearance are released from consultant.
• Raising MIR’s, IR’s and follow up with Consultant for the same. Focusing on closing NCR, if any.
• Preparing MEP Project Logs for Shop Drawing, Technical Submittals, Method of Statement, RFI, MIR, IR, MEP Clearance, NOC and the log of list of items to be submitted in the future.
