As Senior Manager responsible for O&M support functions for nation wide network maintenance, Processes ad budget management.
Ufone, PTCL, Pakistan: Manager Deployment, reporting to GM Engineering
Part of the PMO team responsible for Huawei swap-Project of $550m (3000 sites) and my responsibilities included the following:
• To coordinate with PTCL to arrange Leased Fiber Media for BTS, BSC and MSC sites
• Process acquisition request for space and power within PTCL Exchanges to collocate sites, arrange Demand Notices and their payments.
• Integration of newly commissioned sites to the Network, and announce commercial launch of services.
• Also supported completion of remaining sites from phase-4 of 500 sites by Nortel and Siemens.
• Coordinate UAT/PAT for final acceptance of new sites and follow up on removal of snags.
Mobilink, Orascom, Pakistan:
Manager Operations. I was responsible to ensure Network availability and manage field maintenance teams (35 Engineers/Technician) in the whole North region. My job responsibilities included the following:
• To ensure achieving Network availability target of 99.95%.
• Manage 24/7 availability of On-call personnel and proper equipment in all parts of the region
• Ensure that all reported alarms are attended on timely basis and a rectification action is taken on immediate basis. A report is generated for each interruption and details of activities carried out.
• To ensure BTS site are visited on monthly basis and an inspection is carried out regularly where all installations civil or electrical and Tower mounted equipment are inspected thoroughly and a form (2.1) is filled up showing action items required to fix the issues on site and sent to the regional Teams leads.
• Ensure all action requiring repair are done and closed properly.
