Jan-2020 to Present:

Currently I am working as “Expert Transport Network Operations (Team Lead)” in Jazz at Digital Head Quarter Islamabad, Pakistan.

My Core responsibilities include managing E2E Transport Network (E//+Huawei) from Audit, Optimization and troubleshooting’s perspective. In addition to this, I have to manage the team for right performance, quick troubleshooting, sound learning and 24/7 support to maintain the network optimized and fault free.

Ericsson Products:

SPO1460, MW-TN series 2p, 6P, 20P, IPTNMS-Circuit, IPTNMS Packet and SOEM R18.

Huawei Products:

OSN8800 (T16/T32/UPS), DWDM BWS1600G, Hybrid MSTP/OSN series (OSN 1500, 2500, 3500, 7500), IPRAN NE8000, MW RTN-9xx, iManager U2000 R18 and Network cloud Engine (NCE).

Responsibilities:

 Audit and Optimization of OTN Electrical and Optical WSON Network for best performance along with configurations for TE links and ASON services (Diamond, Silver and Copper).
 Audit and optimization of OTN, DWDM and SDH networks for fiber losses and risk assessment.
 Utilization analysis of MW and Optical Networks of both E// and Ericsson to avoid congestions in normal and fiber break circumstances and to manage capacity issues proactively.
 Run time traffic rerouting for both E// and Huawei during multiple network faults via MPLS Tunnel rerouting and managing ASON trails.
 Soft-ATP and Network Level testing on newly commissioned 100Gbps IPRAN Metros based on Layer 3 devices (NE-8000).
 Audit and analysis of vendor raised tickets for RCA evaluation and strategy development.
 Heading weekly/monthly meetings with relevant internal and external stakeholders including vendors
 Managing L2 contracts, SLA amendments, invoice processing and PR/POs for Operational Excellence

Jan-2014 to Dec-2019:

Worked as “Expert - Transport Network Operations” in Jazz (Previously known as Mobilink) Head Quarter Islamabad, Pakistan.


Responsibilities:

 Services configurations for Network Optimizations, commissioning, expansion and redundancy addition to ensure second and 3rd degree protection for various POP locations over TDM, Packet, DWDM and OTN topologies over Ericsson and Huawei products.
 MPLS connectivity maintenance and troubleshooting of Huawei Core links involving C-Band DWDM and OTN services over Electrical ASON and Optical ASON.
 Configurations, optimization and troubleshooting of OTN ASON services; Diamond, Silver and Copper.
 OD (Optical Doctor) report analysis and issues rectification like Span loss, power budgeting and OSNR.
 End to end configuration for 2G/3G/4G expansions of both Ericsson and Huawei along with TXN configuration of Line, LAN, pseudo wire and Tunnels.
 Ability to operate optical test tools including Power meter, OTDR, Optical Spectrum Analyzer for BER analysis, Bi-Directional Loss Measurement and OSNR.


May-2009 to Dec-2014

Worked as “Fiber Optics Engineer” in Mobilink Pvt. Ltd. at Multan Region.

 Working/maintenance of Huawei SDH equipment like Optix 2500+, Metro 1000, Metro 3000, OSN 1500, OSN 2500, OSN 3500 & OSN 7500.
 Working/maintenance of Huawei NGDWDM BWS1600 regarding OTM, OADM & OLAs.
 Designing of Metro/LDI Optical Fiber network having SDH and DWDM equipment.
 Responsible for acceptance, PAT and HO/TO activities in Central-III Region.
 Hand on Experience for Huawei OptiX iManager T2000 for monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting of SDH and DWDM network.
 Respond to emergency situations on an on-call basis as assigned so as to mobilize to the fault to rectify the fiber cut or equipment replacement in case of critical faults.
