Maintenance of PL routes (overhead lines)
To conduct inspection of Stations
To conduct footplate inspections & ticket less inspection.
Efficiently use the Budget for repair and maintenance of telecom gears, by Floating tenders and through local purchase.
To coordinate with other branches in recruitment process and finalization of Accident enquiries.

Main Duties
Responsible for efficient maintenance and repair of all Signaling
Installations to ensure Safety, efficiency and economy in accordance with
specified Signaling Standards, Rules and Regulations.
To carry out regular inspections and testing of all the signaling equipment.
To arrange indenting of material from Store for maintenance and new works.
To ensure proper maintenance of the following equipment:
Track Circuits
DC track circuiting is provided in all yards and block sections.
Signals
All color Light Signals and all types e.g. Routing, Shunting and Main
Signals.
Relay Rooms (58 No.s), Underground Cables (Power, Signal & Telecom)
Signal Rehabilitation Project: EBI-Lock 950 R3 system
To co-ordinate with Bombardier Transportation and CRSC
Representatives in the Execution of project while representing demands
of Sukkur Division.
Summary:
In depth knowledge and practical experience of the following:
Mechanical Signaling and Interlocking
Mechanical Detectors: 1-way, 2-ways 3-ways, 4-ways and up to 8-ways
Lock Bars: IRS Type and NWR type Facing point Bolt Lock, Switch Extension piece A & B.Stretcher Bar, Clamp for Lock Bar.
Mechanical Cranks: Adjusting Crank, Crank Compensator, Accommodating Crank, Crank Horizontal, Crank Vertical, Foundation A type, Rod Rollers 1-ay to 4-way, CI Base for Rod Rollers, Locking Trough, Signals IRS and NWR type,
Automatic Tripping Device, Wire Adjusting Screw, Signal Post and arms, and different types of Lenses.
Lamps case IRS and NWR type, Special Counter weight. SM Slide frame, Slot Indicators, Lever Contact Box, Arm, Contact Box, Reversers, Standard I, II, & III interlocking systems:
