Role:
• Ensure smooth line planning activity with maintenance task optimization:
Plan, prepare and control all maintenance requirements for the Line Maintenance departments and provide a comprehensive information link between various sections and departments, regarding the day to day and long term planning of fleet maintenance events.
• Maintenance schedule compliance review on Emirates fleet:
Effectively manage and prepare all maintenance and modification requirements for all aircraft types, engines and components. Carrying out technical auditing and verification of key airworthiness compliance tasks and ensuring that the Emirates fleet is maintained to the required standards of quality and airworthiness as defined by the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Feed information to the Senior Maintenance Planning Engineer to keep him abreast of the fleet status with regards to compliance.
• Review maintenance requirement and use Ultramain to ensure a full compliance status of the fleet is known.
• Maintain the compliance status log of Emirates fleet.
• Obtain feedback from different sections and department to obtain status of the spares and material availability.
• Will be the first point of contact for engineers in the line for any support they would need in regards of spares and job card issues.
• Guide engineers on the most appropriate course of action for accomplishment of task and helps them to find out the parts interchangeability with the help of IPC.
• Assess and prioritize all routine and non-routine work within line.
• Ensure all potential AOG items are expediently actioned.
• Review Allocation Sheet for proper distribution of work load in line with the availability of resources.
• Review and ensure action all Engineering Technical Services alert messages.
• Apprise Manager Operations Planning any items that may impact operational or safety compliance.
• Look after the flow of work into and out of line maintenance.
o Check 7 Aircraft Allocation against all maintenance inputs i.e. Weekly & Service Checks and Out of Phase tasks and make sure they tally and as well as manpower has been allocated..
• Ensure work packages collected, raised and closed in time.
• Monitor and control all routine work within line maintenance before the shift begins and ensure that all related spares have been pre-loaded as required.
• Ensure that during daily operation when tasks have to be withdrawn such is done in a controlled manner to ensure no time limited items could be exceeded.
• Liaise and attend meeting with Manager Line Maintenance for staggering of maintenance inputs subject to resources availability and liaise with Aircraft Scheduling to update maintenance input plan accordingly.
• Administer special maintenance programs like Engine and FIP (Fleet Improvement program) etc.
• Administer pre-delivery work pack and co-ordinate for follow-up work into pre-service maintenance.
• Review and define SEWC Ultramain system and Engineering Order for implementation.
• Review and update of SVC/WKY requirements e.g. material advice file etc.
• Ensure effective communication within planning team is established and practiced
• Ensure staff time and attendance is maintained as per company policy
• Manage/train line planning staff to ensure compliance and optimization of maintenance schedule.

Represent department as a Deputy Aircraft Scheduling Manager in the absence of Aircraft Scheduling Manager (ASM).
Work in shift duties in Network Control Center & pro-actively managing the network operational activities in the day of operation & as well attend daily operation management meeting with all departmental heads & Vice President Network Control (VPNC) & discuss all issues with regards to maintenance & aircraft availability.

Coordinate activities arising from the daily morning engineering briefing meeting. Prepare scenarios that can deliver alternate solutions to accommodate Engineering requirements within the Operating Plan.
Prepare Heavy Maintenance & Quarterly Maintenance Plans, Special Project Plans (e.g. major modifications, Landing Gear overall, aircraft painting) to ensure long term maintenance requirements are established, check intervals are optimized & check limitations are met.
Review Daily Aircraft Allocation to ensure accuracy & validity of plans. optimum utilization of maintenance check frequencies, compliance with legal limitations, proper staggering of maintenance inputs, inclusion of all relative aircraft registrations & accurate & error free information prior to dissemination within the Emirates network.
Ensure all data required for statistical analysis & report creation by ASM is updated, current & accurate. This data is required for the Fleet Operational details of the fleet in terms checks forecasted, average Aircraft Daily Utilization for Flight Hour, Cycles & Ratios. Coordinate long term forecasting & planning activities including preparation of Aircraft Weighing plans & status report. Monitor & review Deferred Defects assigned to Aircraft Scheduling Group at defined intervals & provide efficient & effective solutions, support & co-ordination for the remedial action ensuring availability of necessary ground time, resources & hangar capacity.
Monitor operational & maintenance requirements. Coordinate optimum aircraft utilization & avoiding / minimizing operational & engineering disruption.
Liaise & coordinate actions arising from Aircraft Scheduling & maintenance teams with Commercial Department for inclusion of additional flight requirements into the operating plan. Present all plans to Aircraft scheduling manager to ensure revenue optimization without compromising maintenance ground time availability for multiple fleet aircraft types / sub types & operational conflicts.
Through the daily allocation of work ensure that maintenance campaigns such as Fumigation & cosmetic cleaning are controlled & in compliance.
Coordinate within Engineering Planning or Operations Control for communication with internal & external parties such as Maintenance Sections, flight Operation, Crew Training, Corporate Communications, DNATA, Lessors, vendor representatives, third party maintenance agencies for allocation & coordination of necessary activities/ maintenance requirements/ aircraft ground time.
Maintain & present improvements to standard rules, constraints & guidelines for use by subordinate personnel in the preparation of the daily allocation plans & coordinate with departmental managers to provide continual updates of fleet complexity.
Supervise & train Aircraft Scheduling Coordinators to facilitate knowledge dissemination & skill improvements & provide ongoing update to subordinate personnel based on fleet & destination developments ensuring elimination of inefficient methods & implementation of departmental improvements/ system changes.
Support & develop systems that enable the department to carry out the main work functions, such as heavy maintenance, aircraft scheduling, & external cleaning planning.
