Represent department as a Deputy Aircraft Scheduling Manager in the absence of Aircraft Scheduling Manager (ASM).
Work in shift duties in Network Control Center & pro-actively managing the network operational activities in the day of operation & as well attend daily operation management meeting with all departmental heads & Vice President Network Control (VPNC) & discuss all issues with regards to maintenance & aircraft availability.
In case of potential & critical operational disruptions (e.g. urgent/time limited maintenance requirement, AOG) initiate, develop & implement recovery plans in conjunction with ASM, VPNC & Commercial Planning.
Coordinate activities arising from the daily morning engineering briefing meeting. Prepare scenarios that can deliver alternate solutions to accommodate Engineering requirements within the Operating Plan.
Prepare Heavy Maintenance & Quarterly Maintenance Plans, Special Project Plans (e.g. major modifications, Landing Gear overall, aircraft painting) to ensure long term maintenance requirements are established, check intervals are optimized & check limitations are met.
Review Daily Aircraft Allocation to ensure accuracy & validity of plans. optimum utilization of maintenance check frequencies, compliance with legal limitations, proper staggering of maintenance inputs, inclusion of all relative aircraft registrations & accurate & error free information prior to dissemination within the Emirates network.
Ensure all data required for statistical analysis & report creation by ASM is updated, current & accurate. This data is required for the Fleet Operational details of the fleet in terms checks forecasted, average Aircraft Daily Utilization for Flight Hour, Cycles & Ratios. Coordinate long term forecasting & planning activities including preparation of Aircraft Weighing plans & status report. Monitor & review Deferred Defects assigned to Aircraft Scheduling Group at defined intervals & provide efficient & effective solutions, support & co-ordination for the remedial action ensuring availability of necessary ground time, resources & hangar capacity.
Monitor operational & maintenance requirements. Coordinate optimum aircraft utilization & avoiding / minimizing operational & engineering disruption.
Liaise & coordinate actions arising from Aircraft Scheduling & maintenance teams with Commercial Department for inclusion of additional flight requirements into the operating plan. Present all plans to Aircraft scheduling manager to ensure revenue optimization without compromising maintenance ground time availability for multiple fleet aircraft types / sub types & operational conflicts.
Through the daily allocation of work ensure that maintenance campaigns such as Fumigation & cosmetic cleaning are controlled & in compliance.
Coordinate within Engineering Planning or Operations Control for communication with internal & external parties such as Maintenance Sections, flight Operation, Crew Training, Corporate Communications, DNATA, Lessors, vendor representatives, third party maintenance agencies for allocation & coordination of necessary activities/ maintenance requirements/ aircraft ground time.
Maintain & present improvements to standard rules, constraints & guidelines for use by subordinate personnel in the preparation of the daily allocation plans & coordinate with departmental managers to provide continual updates of fleet complexity.
Supervise & train Aircraft Scheduling Coordinators to facilitate knowledge dissemination & skill improvements & provide ongoing update to subordinate personnel based on fleet & destination developments ensuring elimination of inefficient methods & implementation of departmental improvements/ system changes.
Support & develop systems that enable the department to carry out the main work functions, such as heavy maintenance, aircraft scheduling, & external cleaning planning.
