MAY 2023 - PRESENT DCS Panel Operator
As a DCS Panel Operator, I play a pivotal role in the global Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB)
and N-Paraffin business, with robust support from Farabi Downstream Company (FDC).
My multifaceted responsibilities encompass the expert operation of Honeywell's cutting-
edge Experion PKS Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring precision and efficiency.
I'm the vigilant guardian of a diverse array of critical systems, including the hot oil heater
and advanced Burner Management System (BMS), the water deluge system for safety,
and the tank farm, where I lead product storage, loading, and transportation logistics. I'm
also a maestro behind the scenes, directing the production of fuel additives with a range
of batch reactors. Supervised advanced equipment such as CPI separators, Dissolved Air
Flotation (DAF), Biotreatment, Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBR), filtration, Reverse
Osmosis (RO), and an evaporation system. I utilize precise chemical dosage techniques,
including pH normalization, anti-scaling measures, coagulation, flocculation, and effective
biological treatment within the water treatment section.

I spearheaded critical systems, including the Yokogawa Centum CS 3000 DCS system
and the Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) using Honeywell's TDC 3000 technologies,
ensuring safety and efficiency. I also employed the Bentley Nevada 3500 for compressor
vibration monitoring and steered the Compressor Controls Corporation (CCC) PLC for
anti-surge and performance control. I assumed the oversight of multifaceted processes,
with a strong emphasis on acid gas removal, gas sweetening, and ammonia synthesis. I
supervised various equipment, including Positive Displacement Natural Gas boosters,
Ammonia liquefaction compressors, High-Pressure Centrifugal Air, Synthesis Gas, and
Ammonia Refrigeration Compressors. I operated Steam Turbines and managed letdown
stations. I controlled circulation pumps, oversaw ammonia synthesis in the S-300
Ammonia Reactor, drove refrigeration systems, and handled Ammonia Recovery by
Absorption and Distillation. During this tenure, I took charge and monitored essential
process parameters, ensuring smooth execution of plant operations during normal
activities, startups, shutdowns, and emergencies, such as power failures, steam boiler
issues, and compressor shutdowns.

As a Field Operator, I played a key role in decommissioning and commissioning Ammonia
storage, replacing Ammonia reactor catalysts, and preparing job plans for plant-related
operations. I demonstrated expertise in interpreting intricate engineering documents,
including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs),
and Functional Logic Diagrams (FLDs). I maintained meticulous records and collaborated
with the Shift in charge of plant operation and troubleshooting. Mentored junior team
members and newly recruited colleagues, propelling continuous improvement of plant
operations.

In this role, I embarked on a two-year journey of immersive learning and skill
development. This apprenticeship served as the foundational step in my career within the
chemical and petrochemical industry. I acquired a fundamental understanding of chemical
processes, safety procedures, and plant operations, with hands-on experience in
equipment operation and maintenance.
