I am trying to analyze the interaction of host and viral proteins . I already found some target proteins which can be used as new drug targets for hepatitis C Virus infection. In order to achieve this target, I have used different advanced techniques including cell culturing, confocal microscopy, Lentivirus infection, CRISPR/Cas9, RNA pull down assay, Immunoprecipitation, expression and purification of different proteins in mammalian cell culture system, western blotting and other molecular and microbiology techniques
I am looking for the host factor helping/blocking HCV replication, along with exploring on production of vaccines for FMDV
I joined AKHUWAT-FIRST as an assistant professor and my main responsibilities were to teach Biotechnology subjects and I was also responsible to take care of student activities, class schedule and examination.
I have been appointed as an assistant professor on INTERIM placement program of HEC and I have to assist M.Phile and PhD students in their research activities. I have also been awarded a research grant from HEC as PI.
I have immidiately started working on HCV Protease enzyme assay establishment after PhD.
I visited Uppsala University, Sweden during my PhD research and my main tasks were to find the interaction of HCV proteins with different drugs using modern techniques.
