One of the leading retailer in Saudi Arabia. The Group manages two key brands - Bindawood and Danube.
•Ensuring the integrity of financial records, entered accurately in the system, and scrutinised that it is compliant with the accounting principles and standard. i.e. IFRS
•Performing month end closing i.e. Depreciation, Reconciliation, and Journal entries etc.
•Handling Annual audit by preparing related schedules and assisting the auditors in their inquiries.
•Monitoring and improving internal control to ensure the reliability of financial reporting and Compliance.
•Working within accounting as needed in resolving intercompany balances.
•Providing support to finance team in a way to learn and overcome the challenge.
•Developing and improving MIS for better management decision making.
•Managing relationship with vendors to ensure maximum utilisation of credit periods and effective management of Working Capital. Communication with vendors in an accurate and timely manner.
•Reviewing and completing daily transactions, invoicing, Discounts, reconciliations and ensuring that all contracts payments are made as per contract terms & Conditions.
•Verifying that the liabilities are created as Goods received and Insured.
•Tracking company expenditures for Projects in comparison to the capital budget and report budget variance to management.
•Perform routine calculations to produce analysis and reports as requested by the finance director.
•Maintaining a portfolio of 3 Real Estate Company's properties/Investments and reporting on all financial activity other than bindawood and Danube.
•Tracking the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out the WIP (Work in Progress) once the related projects have been completed.
•Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
•Getting the Insurance of Non-current assets and ensuring that sum insured is accurate.
•Recommending to management whether fixed assets should be disposed or replaced and conducting analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
•Initiate periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets.
•Preparing VAT returns.
