- Lead for delivering retrofit kits and new engine systems that enable engine to run on both Diesel & Gas fuel for 52-liter Petroleum and Marine Engines
- Responsibility includes engine system performance recipe, engine performance development, emissions certification and ensure engine software quality that meets functional specification
- Manage test cells & project plans, program spend & forecast to meet directly accountable budget
- Support simulation and analysis tools development work for Dual Fuel engine performance development
- Work with customers, suppliers and process partners such as Marketing, Customer Service, Component & Platform, Electronics, Controls & Validation teams to supply the product
- Develop & document standard processes for streamline operation, improved communication & data transfer
- Provide time critical and high priority technical support and troubleshooting to meet program goals
- Standardized one page executive summary of engine program that covers results for dual fuel engine performance, customer cost, greenhouse gas & emissions
- Supported several cost reduction activities including test plans that cost over $1M
- Engine performance and emissions lead for 15-liter diesel engines for lesser regulated countries
- Delivered several 15-liter engine ratings and Software’s for Machine, Industrial and Genset applications
- Resolve current product issues (CPI) for engine performance & hardware failures
- Support cost reduction by utilizing low cost resources in China/ India for performance development
- Improve engine protection for altitude conditions with the use of engine simulation tools and process
- Host weekly team meetings to collaborate & update process partners on development programs
- Develop standard process of developing simulation models for engine performance predictions
- Responsible for Design Optimization of Air Systems for 9-liter through 32-liter Diesel Engines
- Work with internal teams to assist with Air System selection, sizing and optimization using 3D fluid dynamics and engine cycle simulation tools
- Develop performance guidelines and standard work documents for Exhaust/ Intake Manifolds, Turbocharging Systems, Air Plumbing and EGR mixers
- Develop EGR systems level performance solutions for Caterpillar Tier-4 Diesel Engines including control valves and venturi air flow meters
- Implement and support new simulation tools and techniques for improved analysis capability
- Implement flow bench analysis for several air flow components for flow characteristics
- Collaborate with process partners ¬¬- Design, Performance, Machine and Platform teams
- Participated in Robust Engineering Projects on EGR Mixer and Water Cooled Exhaust Manifold
- Manage & supervise fluid flow/heat transfer projects from writing project proposal to final report
- Support CFD analysis needs for Caterpillar, John Deere, Whirlpool and Progress Rail
- Conduct CFD analysis work on Diesel Engines from underhood-air-flow management to Engine Air systems, Turbocharger and After-Treatment components
- Develop standard process and templates for project technical and completion reports
- Support off-shore analysis team and resources to manage cost and timeline of analysis process
- Develop procedure for coupling CFD and 1-D engine fluid flow simulation codes
- Attend conferences on CFD and arrange trainings for group members
- Responsible for design, development and testing of a Window Air-Conditioner 1.5 Ton, Bedroom Refrigerator and No-Frost Direct Cool Combination Refrigerator
- Supervise 4 Drafters and 10 Carpenters / Fitters
- Responsibility also include analyzing 2D/ 3D Engineering drawings and preparing a detail component List (B.O.M) of an Air-conditioner and a Refrigerator
- Collaborate with process partners such as Marketing, Die & Mold, Assembly and Vendor teams
- Conduct project planning and project management with tools such as CPM and PERT
