• Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives;
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
• Agreeing a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project;
• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, and the general workforce involved in the project;
• Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
• Communicating with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers etc), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors;
• Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;

• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

• Daily reporting to the Site Manager regarding the progress achieved at site and also indicates the actual status against the planned activities. Report site issues which need special / immediate attention of management
• Monitor and ensure that all the site works are carried out as per the Approved Quality Requirements as defined. Ensure that all site works are performed in conformance to the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Policy

• Coordinate among various contractors and ensure that the works are carried out smoothly

o Provide safe working environment for members of staff, and ensure electricity induced accidents and mishaps are prevented
o Take steps to prevent fire outbreaks by making appropriate recommendations to management
o Purchase electrical fittings and components or supervise the staff charged with the responsibility
o Provide 24 hours a day maintenance services or assign technical staff to do so
o Supervise electrical works when new projects are undertaken
o Support the company in increasing profitability by managing resources efficiently and making necessary recommendations.
