Responsible for administration, operation and maintenance of 4 EWSD CX in Peshawar, Mardan, DI Khan and Abbotabad, High Capacity Transit Exchange Peshawar, E10-B Transit Exchanges in Bannu and Peshawar, WLL MSC’s in Peshawar, IN SSP Peshawar and Huawei C5 NGN at Peshawar.
My job responsibilities include the preparation of different interruption reports, collection and process the traffic measurement reports showing ASR and CFR, Checking of Trouble Tickets generated by National NOC, coordination with staff for clearing the faults and replying to NOC, interface with mobile operators for incoming call complaints. Coordination with transmission staff for rectification and addition of faulty and new E1’s.
The most recent achievement is completion the STP redundancy plan.
Responsible for all the O&M tasks of Switching in the Northern Telecom Region. Incharge of ewsd OMC (Netmanager), C&C08 High capacity Transit Exchange, Alcatel E-10B Transit, ZTE MSG and Huawei UMG, 8 ewsd MSU's and 82 RLU's alongwith allied power plant. The job includes integration of the LDI and Mobile Operators with PTCL through C7. Performance monitoring of the Telecom Network. Interface with management. Staff organiztion in the exchanges etc.
Responsible for O&M of one EWSDOMC, 23 EWSD Local, 4 ewsd combined exchanges, one AXE-10 local(4000), Voice Messaging System.
Norconsult Telematics is a Norwegian company, which has been providing consultancy services to Saudi PTT. It is currently providing consultancy services and contract supervision of the STC’s TEP-6, TEP-7 and Y2K projects providing more than 2M access network lines, a large number of EWSD and 5ESS exchanges, ISDN and IN capabilities.My responsibilities include:Review and Recommendation of MOP’s and Floor Plans for Lucent and Siemens sites. Permanent member of the MOP’s recommendation committee at STC.Provide Field Supervision and Quality Control for assurance that all on-site work is carried out in agreed Customer and Contractor Schedules of work and standards.Verify the completed works and all the Test Results in RTC to ensure that all Switching System requirement are met.Execute Testing as required for Acceptance by the Customer for the Local, Tandem, STP, MSC Service Node and Remote Switching Units (Initial and Extension jobs) installed by Siemens and Lucent and initiate Discrepancies Report.Carry out the Supervision of Deficiencies.Carry out the Building Alarm Acceptance Testing.Provide on-site Customer support for Customer Cutovers and Deloading Activities.
Implementation of the Annual Development Program involving Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Integration and Acceptance of Siemens EWSD Switching Systems and Equipment and power plants in the North West Frontier Province. The work was mostly technical in nature, with aspects of administration and project management.The assignment included:During implementation perform preliminary site surveys, Oversee Installation activities, Track and report project schedules and material status.Provide a technical interface among management and installation teams.Generate of database by creating the MML command files using PC tools for Local Area Codes, Directory Numbers, Analogue Subscribers and PBX’s, Destinations, Code Points, Routing, Trunk Groups, Trunks, Zoning, Tariff, CCS7 Signaling, Inquiry and Complaint Positions, Networking, SDE’s etc.Incorporation of HW parts, Off-line and On-line Testing, Diagnostics.Incorporation of Database.Data area expansion using ODAGEN and MB/SN expansion when required.Integration of new exchanges in existing telecom network on CCS7, F-6, E&M and other different types of signaling.Loading the database in the SDE’s, off-line and on-line testing and to integrate it with other telecommunication system.Carry out Acceptance Testing with the nominated teams.Cutover Activities
Operation and Maintenance of 4 Combined, 21 Local and about 100 RLU’s and SDE’s connected with OMC Peshawar.The assignment include:Monitor and maintain PSTN Network events using various surveillance systems and tools through OMC.Diagnose and solve technical problems in the PSTN network.Monitor units’ status and alarms, analyze alarms, troubleshoot them, direct and coordinate their clearing and routine purging.Perform database backup and routine maintenance activities e.g. Routine and Quarterly Data Saving.Coordinate testing of new software release and new features e.g. Toll free Service, UAN service etc.Plan and schedule routine and preventive maintenance activities for all the connected exchanges.Monitor and Test the Analogue and Digital network operation, problem identification, initiate corrective actions to relieve network congestion.Creation and Testing of CCS7 links for Digital and Analog media.Track all network changes and update all site documents.Provide support for system expansion and upgradation.Emergency Handling and Emergency condition Data Saving.Spare pool administration.
: Responsible for assisting with day-to-day operation and maintenance of the 12000 LU's (EWSD), 10000 Trunks (EWSD) and 4000 LU's AXE-10).Analyze reported alarms, interpret them and decide on corrective actions to clear them.Plan and schedule routine and preventive maintenance activities.Manage all aspects of network traffic flows, network performance improvement, routing tables to minimize network congestion.Debugging of live Switch problems.AMA and Billing data saving.Subscriber Administration.
