Presently working as the civil/utilities lead on the detail design of site civil and wet utilities infrastructure works of
Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit project which comprises construction of about 19.7 km long LRT tracks from
west of Black Creek to Kennedy station. The tasks include preparation and delivery of detailed engineering
drawings, conducting hydraulic analysis, preparing technical reports, specifications, and other technical
documentation required for securing permits and approvals of the design from the regulatory agencies. Main
responsibilities include: preparation of conceptual and detailed designs, proposals, technical reports, design
criteria and scoping documents, technical specifications, shop drawings review, permit documentation, resource
plans & man-hour estimates, QA/QC and mentoring of junior staff. Also, prepare review packages for Metrolinx,
TTC, Toronto Water, MOECC and other agencies; prepare site servicing reports/plans as part of the SPA
applications, design brief/summary reports etc. Prepared detailed calculations for the design of PVC and large
diameter steel watermains including pipe design and surge analysis. Prepared detailed designs for water and

sewer infrastructure including valve chambers, thrust blocks/restraints etc.

The project was initiated under Municipal Services Program (MSP) which aims at rehabilitation, up-gradation &
construction of water & sanitation infrastructure including water supply, drainage, sanitation, solid waste
management & wastewater treatment systems in the city of Peshawar, Pakistan. The project scope includes
construction and rehabilitation of more than 100, 000 m long drains, trunk sewers, rehabilitation/upgrade of over
150 water supply pumping stations, three new wastewater treatment plants, new landfill sites for solid waste
management, and new public utility structures. As a design manager, managed a multi-disciplinary design and
tendering team to ensure delivery of projects within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards agreed with
the client. Responsibilities included: supervision and quality review of all deliverables including calculations,
reports, drawings, bill of quantities, and all tender documentation; preparation and effective management of
resource plans, work implementation schedules, and budget forecasting reports; QA/QC; implementation of HSE
procedures; liaise with all stakeholders; tracking and maintaining record of design and scope changes; reporting;
presentations; and coordinating progress reviews.

Civil lead responsible for planning and development of conceptual and detailed engineering designs of civil site
development infrastructure works including site grading, drainage, stormwater management, site containment and
storage systems, underground utilities, and other associated works. Main duties included: preparing proposals,
feasibility studies, supervision and providing mentorship to the team members; participating in resolution of inter-
discipline, vendor and customer issues; liaise with clients, vendors, contractors and agencies on technical matters;
implement and monitor design standards, guidelines and procedures on projects, provide permitting and approval
support to clients, and prepare resource plans, engineering budget and man-hour estimates etc., participate in
initiatives that support company’s and projects’ strategic goals and objectives; and support HSE initiatives. Major
projects undertaken included:
• Gibson Edmonton Terminal - Creek Area Development project for Gibson Energy: conducted site hydrological/
hydraulic analysis, and detailed engineering design of storm drainage and stormwater management systems.
• Energy East Pipeline project for TransCanada: authored the Civil Design Criteria and Stormwater Management
Criteria documents for the project
• Fort Hills Detail Engineering for Primary Extraction and Ore Preparation Plant for Suncor: Peer reviewed the detail
design of primary extraction dump pond, surface drainage system, haul roads, and site infrastructure as part of
$9.44 billion development of oil sands which aims at 3.9B bbls of recoverable bitumen and 14, 520 tonnes/hr oil
sands ore.
• Hanging stone Pipeline Project for Enbridge: detailed design of site infrastructure development works including
pump stations, surface and sub-surface drainage systems, access roads, Stormwater management.
• Bakken Market Link Montana Project for TransCanada Pipelines: detailed design of site development
infrastructure including grading, surface drainage, spill containment systems, stormwater and firewater ponds,
erosion protection works and material stockpile areas.
• Trans Mountain Expansion Project - Edmonton West Area: Conceptual design, reports, and cost estimates for the
site drainage and spill containment infrastructure including stormwater/containment pond, hydraulic structures,
sub-surface drainage systems, and other site development works.
• Edmonton Terminal Expansion Project for Trans Mountain Pipeline (Kinder Morgan): detailed engineering design
and construction support for site development works including surface drainage and stormwater management
systems, spill containment systems, hydraulic structures, bypass drainage culvert, firewater pond and site utilities.
• Athabasca Terminal - Suncor Hot Bitumen Blending Project for Enbridge: detailed design, permitting and
construction support for the site drainage, stormwater pond and site development works.
• Sunday Creek Terminal Project for Enbridge: supported FEED and detailed engineering design of site drainage,
underground utilities, site containment, and stormwater management systems.
• Stonefell Tank Terminal Expansion for MEG Energy: detailed engineering design of for site development and
drainage works including surface drainage, grading and stormwater management facilities.
• Woodlands Pipeline Project, Enbridge: supported engineering design for drainage improvements around the
Cheecham Terminal site.

Baptiste Lakes Wastewater Feasibility Study for Council of the Summer Village of Island Lake, Athabasca,
Alberta: Conducted feasibility study for the wastewater collection and treatment systems which included evaluation of
the design alternatives including conventional gravity, small diameter gravity and low pressure STEP systems.
Prepared conceptual design, hydraulic calculations and cost estimates for the selected option of low pressure

system comprising force mains, pumping stations, and sewage lagoon.
• Josephburg and Area Water Supply Feasibility Study for Strathcona County, Alberta: Prepared feasibility report,
conceptual design and cost estimates for the proposed domestic water distribution and fire water systems for the
Hamlet of Josephburg and Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Area including hydraulic modelling, storage reservoirs
and assessment of pumping requirements.
• Keephills Plant Wastewater Treatment System Assessment for TransAlta Utilities, Alberta: The study included
analysis of the demand conditions, complete review of the plant’s existing domestic wastewater treatment system
capacity and provided recommendations for the system improvements based on Alberta Environment’s
guidelines.
• Pedley Dam Decommissioning Project for Alberta Sustainable Resource Development, Hinton, Alberta: Conducted
complete hydrological analysis to determine frequency floods and investigated alternatives for the
decommissioning of Pedley dam.
• Raw Water Intake at North Saskatchewan River for ATCO Gas, Edmonton: Prepared preliminary design and
layout for the pump station including site access roads, grading and drainage works.
• Millennium Plant Water Main Analysis for Suncor, Fort McMurray, Alberta: Conducted hydraulic analysis for
determining domestic water servicing requirements of the camp site.
• 41 Avenue and QEII Interchange Storm Outfall Concept Review for the City of Edmonton: Prepared conceptual
design and report for the proposed storm outfall into Blackmud Creek to service Ellerslie / Southeast area in
conjunction with the proposed 41 Ave. /QEII interchange construction.
• St. Michael’s Cemetery Drainage Design for Ukrainian Episcopal Corporation, Edmonton: Performed hydrologic /
hydraulic calculations and prepared detail design for the site’s storm drainage connection to the City’s sewer
system.
• GO Community Centre Utilities Servicing for University of Alberta, Edmonton: Detailed design of the sanitary and
stormwater systems for the new facility.
• Edmonton South Terminal Hydrology Study for Enbridge Pipelines: Conducted detailed hydrology of the drainage
basin and prepared stormwater management plan and report for the terminal expansion project.
• CCIS Phase-2 Project for University of Alberta, Edmonton: Detailed engineering design and construction support
for the site development including surface drainage & grading, and water, sanitary and stormwater utilities.
• South Campus Servicing Study for University of Alberta, Edmonton: Conducted detailed hydrologic / hydraulic
analysis and prepared conceptual design and cost estimates for the storm, sanitary and water servicing of the
South Campus to align with the campus future development planning.
• Alberta Schools Alternative Procurement (ASAP-2) for Alberta Infrastructure / Clark Builders, Various Locations:
Detailed design and construction support for the development of four new school sites at various locations in
Alberta, built through design-build approach. The scope included design of water, sanitary and stormwater
systems, site grading and drainage, pavement structures, hydraulic structures and permitting support.
• West Edmonton Park Facility project for Finning Canada, Edmonton: detailed design of site development works
including pavement structures, underground utilities, surface grading and drainage, and provided permitting
support.
• Caribou Energy Park Development for Finning Canada, Fort McKay, Alberta: Prepared preliminary engineering
plans and design for the site development including pavement structures, underground utilities, surface drainage
and stormwater management systems, and associated site infrastructure.
• Edmonton North Terminal 2011 Site Containment and Drainage Project for Enbridge Pipelines: detailed design of
spill containment and surface drainage systems of the facilities areas of the terminal which included
hydrological/hydraulic analysis, stormwater management systems, roads, site infrastructure, vendor design
reviews, material requisitions, specifications and cost estimates.
• Edmonton North Terminal, Pembina Nipisi Heavy Recipient Pipeline Connection project for Enbridge Pipelines:
Detailed design for the site infrastructure development including roads, grading and surface drainage system.
• Heating Plant Expansion Project for EPCOR, Edmonton: Detailed design for the site infrastructure including
pavement structures, site grading and underground utilities.
• Athabasca Upgrader FEL 3 for Total Oil, Edmonton, Alberta: Prepared preliminary design for the new raw water
intake at North Saskatchewan River including site grading and surface drainage system for the facility and access
road.

Northwest System Storage Improvements for Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Commission, Alberta: Identified
and evaluated alternatives for the improvement and proposed upgrades of St. Albert Regional Trunk (START) and
Parkland Sanitary Trunk System (PSTS); prepared conceptual design and feasibility report including cost

• Belgravia Storm Outfall to the North Saskatchewan River for the City of Edmonton: Preliminary design for the
outfall structure including hydraulic calculations, drawings and detailed cost estimate.
• 137 Avenue Widening Project Phase IV for the City of Edmonton: Detailed engineering drawings for road drainage
system at 137 Avenue and underpass at CN Rail crossing. Prepared detailed design of 2400 mm dia. storage tunnel
and pipe network; technical specifications and cost estimate.
• Review of West Edmonton Sanitary System (WESS) Stage 13 Concept Plan for the City of Edmonton: Assessed
design alternatives and performed hydraulic analysis of the sanitary system for existing, interim and ultimate
development conditions.
• Alta Steel to General Metals Rail Connection for A&B Rail Contractors Ltd., Alberta: Reviewed impact of the
proposed rail connection on existing site drainage system, proposed and evaluated development alternatives in the
report.
• Sturgeon County Support Yard Project for CN Rail Canada, Alberta: prepared site plans and detailed design for
the site development including site grading and surface drainage; conducted hydrologic analysis utilizing WSC’s
HYDAT database and determined Frequency Floods through Regional Analysis.
• Northern Lights Project for Synenco, Fort McMurray, Alberta: Prepared preliminary plans and design of the site
development and drainage works for Upstream & Downstream facilities. Performed hydrological analysis and
prepared drainage plans for offsite and onsite areas for during and after construction phases; prepared design for
site grading; stormwater, fire water and ponds.

Halcrow Pakistan
• Baluchistan Community Irrigation and Agriculture Project (BCIAP) for Government of Baluchistan, Pakistan:
Feasibility studies and detailed engineering design for 30 perennial and 4 flood irrigation schemes as well as 8
potable water supply schemes through participation of local communities and capacity building. The infrastructure
included hydraulic structures, irrigation systems, flood protection works, sanitation, community structures and
water distribution systems. Prepared tender documents, specifications, cost estimates, construction plans, resource
schedules and change orders for the project;
• Wadi Bay-Al-Kabir Irrigation Project for Government of Libya: contributed in the detail design of irrigation
systems comprising pipelines, storage reservoirs and associated structures.
• Wastewater Drainage Systems for Emirates of Ras-Al-Khaimah and Sharjah, U.A.E: Project manager for the detail
design of the stormwater and sanitary drainage systems for various existing and new sub-divisions within the two
cities using computer models of WinDes, MDCad, SurfMate and PipeMate. Prepared tender documents and cost
estimates.
• Storm Drainage System Design Project for City of Doha, Qatar: Prepared hydraulic and detail designs for the storm
drainage network for several new subdivisions in Block 1300, Doha.
• Zamzama Gas Fields Development and Maintenance Project for BHP Billiton Ltd., Sind, Pakistan: As construction
project manager, coordinated design and construction works for the development of several new oil and gas
drilling sites which included well sites, camp sites, access roads, cross-drainage structures, environmental bio-
remediation sites; monitored of health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance etc.
