As an HR Business Partner at Fatima Group, I drive change initiatives and elevate employee engagement across a diverse range of sectors, including fertilizers, sugar, textiles, energy, and packaging. My multifaceted role spans learning and development, organizational enhancement, and recruitment, encompassing talent management and strategic interventions to foster growth and maximize performance.
MTM is one of the largest textile groups of Pakistan having more than 25, 000 employees. Leading the Rewards & Shared Services function here I successfully have set up the department from scratch (currently heading a team of four Rewards & Operations Resources). I am responsible for formulating rewards and benefits strategies for the group, support business by giving strategic recommendations based on metrics based analytics. I have so far improved the employee services by redesigning the SOPs and procedures related to HR operations and employee engagement.
Managed the Employee Benefits and Learning & OD teams and guided them to perform day to day Operations and contribute strategically in organizational growth. I was responsible to lead the OD and training function as well. One of my responsibilities at LUMS was to conduct quality employee engagement activities which was highly appreciated by the employees. I was the overall custodian of LUMS rewards strategies and employee database.
While heading the regional HR function at Service Sales Corporation, I was responsible to work collaboratively with the retail function to support the business through training the staff, making the rewards and benefits system better for the field staff, helping the regional retail head strategically in calibrating the workforce requirements of the region. One of me and my team’s major responsibility was to keep the sales force engaged and motivated by conducting unique activities. Managing the employee cost which is vital in retail was also one of my major responsibilities.
e2e was Pakistan’s first exclusive rice bran oil plant. I joined it as a Sr. Officer but latter was given an additional responsibility of Assistant Manager where for the first time I was given a chance to manage site HR team. I was given a task to design an HR manual for the site and present it to the board of directors which was later approved and implemented.
The group consisted of diversified businesses from sugar mills to distillery and engineering firm. I supported the HR head in operations as well as recruitment, compensation and benefits, HR audits and disciplinary inquiries.
