Responsible for the overall management (financial, administrative and programmatic), leading and establishing country program in Nepal by coordinating with different ministries. Establishing a strong coordination with international NGOs and senior officials at different ministries for effective program planning in line with government strategies and Plans. Providing technical guidance for strategic funding opportunities for Qatar Charity Nepal program. Preparing guidelines for local partners to build their capacities. Providing a leading role for proposal developments and preparing plan of action for better implementation.
Currently working as a Program Manager and responsible for overall Program management in different
parts of Pakistan. These programs include relief, recovery and long term integrated development
programs including WASH, DRR, Community Physical Infrastructure schemes, Health and Sustainable
Livelihoods. Reporting directly to Country Director, my main responsibilities are as follow;
• Overall management of programmatic interventions both in relief and development oriented
initiatives in all field offices and their operations by providing technical guidance on programmatic,
administrative, logistics and financial management
• Resource mobilization and keeping strong coordination with different donors for effective
partnership and working relationships
• To review all programs, their work plans and budgeting for field offices and provide guidance to
the Coordinators for successful implementation of their projects within given resources
• To develop annual progress reports of different areas and to submit to the donors/HQ in a timely
manner and to make sure regular flow of information to different donors
• Keeping close coordination with government line agencies and to represent Qatar Charity and its
activities in Pakistan
• Initiate, plan and manage proposed interventions for AJK, Punjab, Sindh and KPK provinces by
keeping a close coordination with Provincial Disaster Management Authorities, Planning
&Development Departments, and Public Health Departments of respective provinces
• To represent Qatar Charity in Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF) as an Executive Committee
(Ex-Com) member and to actively participate in different humanitarian affairs in Pakistan
Medical Emergency Relief International-MERLIN
Country Office, Islamabad
Reporting to Country Director, I was responsible for overall management of Health and Nutrition
Programs of Merlin and its support functions. Funded by different donors, Merlin is working closely in
partnership with the Ministry of Health and communities to provide malaria, nutrition, reproductive health
and primary health services in 25 districts in Pakistan. These projects were funded by Global Fund,
ECHO, UNICEF, WFP, WHO, ERF, EU, UNFPA, FPA/Packard Foundation, Directorate of Malaria
Control (DoMC) Pakistan etc and I was responsible to look after these grants in accordance with the
policies and procedures defined by donors and Merlin. Followings were my main tasks during stay in
Merlin;
• Management of Merlin integrated healthcare programs including both emergency responses and development response programs in 25 districts and overall HR management of 600
staff members across Pakistan
• Base management of the provincial offices by providing additional management oversight
to staff in field offices
• Program management and development of the provincial programs focused on health and
nutrition, social protection, food security, and primary health-care
• Administration, Logistics and Finance, Human resource management,
• Overall responsible for administration, human resource and financial management of the
Merlin program implemented in differentpartsofpakistan
• Internal and external reporting (financial and narrative) for Merlin and donors in line with
donor and Merlin compliance procedures ensuring monitoring systems are in place and that
project reviews/audits are carried out according to project plans
• Plan and monitor project activities and outputs against project Log-frames and budgets.
This includes grant opening, grant closing and monthly grant monitoring meetings
with all departments, as well as activity, procurement and financial, and HR planning.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with provincial and district health
departments, communities and their leaders as well as other stakeholders’ organizations
• Overall responsibility for effective and efficient management and delivery of an
integrated (malaria, nutrition, food security and health) program by ensuring that it meets its
intended objectives, consistent with the project management cycle and in accordance with
Merlin principles, policies, and procedures
• Prepare proposals and budget for new projects/extensions of projects
• Responsible for overall financial management ensuring all expenditures are within the agreed
and approved budget of the field office including accurate budgets coding and allocation
• Manage the program budget and ensure regular communication with the country
finance team on all financial and budget matters highlighting any new scenarios and
savings
• Review monthly financial accounts, forecast projections, and submit monthly financial reports
and documents in a timely and accurate manner
Worked as a Program Development and M&E Manager and performed following duties;
To plan, develop and initiate new development programs in KPK, Sindh, AJK and Punjab
• To prepare funding proposals and lead the program teams to carry out need assessments/identification
• To provide technical and managerial support to all field offices of Qatar Charity in Pakistan
• To provide effective leadership to the field teams for the smooth and successful implementation of respective programs
• To develop relationship with different donors/stakeholders to establish partnerships for existing and future program development opportunities
• To ensure integration of different activities with one program
• To manage and effectively implement the program objectives in line with QC vision and mission
• To actively contribute for the strategic planning of Pakistan Program of QC
• Preparing different tools for the training and capacity building of field staff
• To prepare different tools for monitoring and evaluation for program quality

• Providing leadership and technical support to the program staff including but not limited to management
• oversight, problem solving, key decision making, quality control, technical input and advice
(North) and managed different programs in KPK and AJK regions.
These programs included relief and recovery program of the IDPs of Swat and flash floods affected
communities of KPK and Kashmir (AJK). Apart from this, I have designed and managed long term
development programs of Leepa (AJK) Integrated Development Program LIDP, Malakand Integrated
Early Recovery and Rehabilitation Program (Swat) and Dir Integrated Development Program (Dir).
These programs include recovery and sustainable livelihood, WASH, Disaster Risk Reduction,
Community Physical Infrastructure (CPIs) along with broad based community mobilization. My main
activities are as follows;
• Identification of possible livelihoods related activities for AJK and KPK and leading a team
to develop a sustainable development program for both regions
• Program development and management of different program in KPK and AJK
• Providing technical support for the drafting of Qatar charity social mobilization strategy
• Ensuring integration of different projects in a program and evaluating their effectiveness
and quality - Representing QC at different forums and donor agencies
• Writing proposals for different donors including QC Headquarter and UN agencies
• To manage and effectively implement the program objectives in line with QC vision and
mission
• To lead a team for the need assessment by carrying out a comprehensive baseline survey
to analyze the impacts of pre and post interventions of QC
• Preparing different tools for the training and capacity building of field staff
• Preparation of annual budgets for both region
• Providing leadership and technical support to the project staff and IPs including but not
limited to management oversight, problem solving, key decision making, quality control,
technical input and advice
South, I initiated and managed Relief and Recovery Program for South Punjab
in Rajanpur for flood affectees of 2010 which included different projects funded by WFP, FAO, UNICEF
and QC Headquarter etc. These projects consisted of restoring livelihoods, provision of food items,
Community Physical Infrastructure CPIs, WASH, NFIs and shelters, seeds and fertilizers to the flood
affectees. Prior to flash floods, I had also developed five years Integrated Development Program for
south Punjab. This program constitutes multi sectors long term sustainable development initiatives in
Education, WASH, Livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction DRR, Livestock, CPIs along with broad based

Served as a Humanitarian Program Manager and performed following tasks;
• Designed and Managed different projects during IDPs crises and successfully
implemented relief and rehabilitation program for the displaced people in Mardan,
Charsaddah, DIKhan, Kohistan and Swat
• Initiated and managed emergency response program for the Yemyin floods in
Baluchistan and distributed Food Items in Kharan, Baluchistan
• Developed guidelines for the selection and capacity assessment of implementing partners
of Qatar
• Charity - Proposal development for different donors and QC headquarter - Represented
QC at different forums for funding and coordination
• Provided technical support for the capacity building of implementing partners
• Proposed and Designed different projects under education and cultural support program
• Capacity building of QC staff at field and country office level
Worked as Zonal Supervisor in DFID project titled “Analysis of Local Government Elections 2005”
conducted by Pattan Development Organization and implemented the project in 6 districts of
Punjab (Sargodha, Khushab, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Chakwal and Bhakkar) and
performed following duties,
• Planed and managed the whole survey research in 6 districts
• Supervised the survey research
• Facilitated field researchers regarding training
• Facilitated in making liaison with government representatives and the field
researchers
• Conducted interviews of contested District Nazims
• Administered the financial affairs of the team members
• Provided logistic support to the team members
• Conducted spot checks to ensure quality control
• Prepared and submitted comprehensive report of assigned zone
Worked as Provincial M&E Coordinator in “The Asia Foundation” in a Madrassah Education Project
which was funded by DFID. The project aimed to determine the demand and supply of madrassah
system in Pakistan. During my work with The Asia Foundation I performed following duties;
• Managed project implementation, including allocation of resources and ensuring
that appropriate controls are maintained at all levels
• Provided leadership and support to the project staff including but not limited to
management oversight, problem solving, key decision making, quality control,
technical input and advice
• Ensured that all logistical and operational needs are met by recruiting and
supervising staff
• Possess connections to local officials and serve as a link between Implementing
Partner and all project counterparts
• Facilitated in the development of different tools for the successful implementation of
project
• Provided technical support to the supervisor
• Conducted training sessions on PRA tools to the field researchers
• Conducted and supervised Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)

Worked in the World Bank project titled “Pakistan Rural Household Survey PRHS-PHASE II”
conducted by Pakistan Institute of Development Economics PIDE. The study was conducted in order
to compare changes in various social indicators since PRHS I. I administered household
questionnaires regarding economic activities, employment, credit and agricultural issues. An
intensive fieldwork was done comprising data collection from different households, schools to gather
supplementary information in education in various districts of Punjab (Bhawalpur, Lodhran, Vehari,
Muzaffargarh).
Young Development Professional Fellowship Program
Successfully completed research oriented fellowship training programme conducted by Aga
Khan Foundation
(NGORC) Karachi, under “Young Development Professional Fellowship Programme” (YDPFP). The
major areas of training were,

Worked with Socio Engineering Consultants (SEC) under base line research study for Neelum Jehlum
Valley Community Development Program funded by “International Fund for Agricultural Development”
(IFAD). The study was conducted on the bordering areas of Kashmir and India to find out the socio-
economic conditions of the residents of those areas. My main tasks were:
• Capacity building of field researchers regarding PRA tools development
• To develop participatory approach
• Data collection
• Preparation of village profile
• Editing of questionnaires and submission to the head office
Worked with Pakistan Medical Research Council (PMRC) in a project titled Prevalence of
Respiratory Allergy in Islamabad and performed various activities like: Attended training
workshops on respiratory allergy Sampling techniques Data collection Preparation and submission
of daily activities report
Worked as Social Organizer in The World Bank funded project titled “Water Supply and Sanitation”
conducted by Rural Technology and Socio-Economic Development Institute (RTSI) and performed
following activities in the rural areas of Muzaffarabad AJK like:
• To mobilise the local communities regarding sanitation
• To form community organizations to ensure the participatory approach
• Development of sustainable social bonding for better water supply and sanitation facilities
