Currently working as a Program Manager and responsible for overall Program management in different
parts of Pakistan. These programs include relief, recovery and long term integrated development
programs including WASH, DRR, Community Physical Infrastructure schemes, Health and Sustainable
Livelihoods. Reporting directly to Country Director, my main responsibilities are as follow;
• Overall management of programmatic interventions both in relief and development oriented
initiatives in all field offices and their operations by providing technical guidance on programmatic,
administrative, logistics and financial management
• Resource mobilization and keeping strong coordination with different donors for effective
partnership and working relationships
• To review all programs, their work plans and budgeting for field offices and provide guidance to
the Coordinators for successful implementation of their projects within given resources
• To develop annual progress reports of different areas and to submit to the donors/HQ in a timely
manner and to make sure regular flow of information to different donors
• Keeping close coordination with government line agencies and to represent Qatar Charity and its
activities in Pakistan
• Initiate, plan and manage proposed interventions for AJK, Punjab, Sindh and KPK provinces by
keeping a close coordination with Provincial Disaster Management Authorities, Planning
&Development Departments, and Public Health Departments of respective provinces
• To represent Qatar Charity in Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF) as an Executive Committee
(Ex-Com) member and to actively participate in different humanitarian affairs in Pakistan
Medical Emergency Relief International-MERLIN

Program Manager at Medical Emergency Relief International - MERLIN

Reporting to Country Director, I was responsible for overall management of Health and Nutrition
Programs of Merlin and its support functions. Funded by different donors, Merlin is working closely in
partnership with the Ministry of Health and communities to provide malaria, nutrition, reproductive health
and primary health services in 25 districts in Pakistan. These projects were funded by Global Fund,
ECHO, UNICEF, WFP, WHO, ERF, EU, UNFPA, FPA/Packard Foundation, Directorate of Malaria
Control (DoMC) Pakistan etc and I was responsible to look after these grants in accordance with the
policies and procedures defined by donors and Merlin. Followings were my main tasks during stay in
Merlin;
• Management of Merlin integrated healthcare programs including both emergency responses and development response programs in 25 districts and overall HR management of 600
staff members across Pakistan
• Base management of the provincial offices by providing additional management oversight
to staff in field offices
• Program management and development of the provincial programs focused on health and
nutrition, social protection, food security, and primary health-care
• Administration, Logistics and Finance, Human resource management,
• Overall responsible for administration, human resource and financial management of the
Merlin program implemented in differentpartsofpakistan
• Internal and external reporting (financial and narrative) for Merlin and donors in line with
donor and Merlin compliance procedures ensuring monitoring systems are in place and that
project reviews/audits are carried out according to project plans
• Plan and monitor project activities and outputs against project Log-frames and budgets.
This includes grant opening, grant closing and monthly grant monitoring meetings
with all departments, as well as activity, procurement and financial, and HR planning.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with provincial and district health
departments, communities and their leaders as well as other stakeholders’ organizations
• Overall responsibility for effective and efficient management and delivery of an
integrated (malaria, nutrition, food security and health) program by ensuring that it meets its
intended objectives, consistent with the project management cycle and in accordance with
Merlin principles, policies, and procedures
• Prepare proposals and budget for new projects/extensions of projects
• Responsible for overall financial management ensuring all expenditures are within the agreed
and approved budget of the field office including accurate budgets coding and allocation
• Manage the program budget and ensure regular communication with the country
finance team on all financial and budget matters highlighting any new scenarios and
savings
• Review monthly financial accounts, forecast projections, and submit monthly financial reports
and documents in a timely and accurate manner

These programs included relief and recovery program of the IDPs of Swat and flash floods affected
communities of KPK and Kashmir (AJK). Apart from this, I have designed and managed long term
development programs of Leepa (AJK) Integrated Development Program LIDP, Malakand Integrated
Early Recovery and Rehabilitation Program (Swat) and Dir Integrated Development Program (Dir).
These programs include recovery and sustainable livelihood, WASH, Disaster Risk Reduction,
Community Physical Infrastructure (CPIs) along with broad based community mobilization. My main

• Identification of possible livelihoods related activities for AJK and KPK and leading a team

in Rajanpur for flood affectees of 2010 which included different projects funded by WFP, FAO, UNICEF

Community Physical Infrastructure CPIs, WASH, NFIs and shelters, seeds and fertilizers to the flood
affectees. Prior to flash floods, I had also developed five years Integrated Development Program for
