Develop business from new & existing clients, through strategic penetration into identified market/sectors across the entire portfolio spectrum like assets, liabilities, and cross-sell (structured products, derivatives, trade finance, cash management, forex).
Develop and maintain acceptable credit/investment portfolio quality by upholding high credit standards and diversified business. Managing assigned risk assets portfolio in line with institutional standards of quality and profitability.
Provide leadership and guidance to a team inclusive of Senior Relationship Managers/Relationship Managers, to ensure deeper share of wallet.
Ensure provision of high quality and timely service to clients. Deliver full range of the banks' products to the corporate market place with a high degree of confidence. Expand the Bank’s revenue stream through fullest utilization of limits by superior customer relationship management.
Work in coordination with Investment Banking Team for the deals, where the involvement of corporate bank team is required.
Assess business, financial & economic risks and opportunities, and maximizing potential to cross sell products. Prepare and execute a call program designed to evaluate risk, assess opportunities, and maximize potential to cross sell products. Monitoring risk and ensuring that the Bank’s relationship strategy is in line with the Portfolio and Industry quality.
Assess credit/investment risk of proposals and ensure the credit/investment and processes are within acceptable standards. Conduct credit and customer analyses to support ongoing relationships and acquisition work. Ensure that the quality of the credit portfolio is maintained, by reviewing proposals, identify and assess all risks inherent in credit exposures. Recommend credit facilities, within prescribed limits, after a comprehensive analysis.
Evaluate commercial viability/payback ability by considering business viability, market reputation, product competition and management integrity. Achieve a sound understanding of the dynamics and risks of the economy and industries in which the clients operate.
Monitor and manage risk on an ongoing and proactive basis. This is through the monitoring of risk triggers, covenants / approvals conditions and report any breaches.
Identify, report and act upon materiel risks proactively and raise Early Alert Reports (EARS) in time to take corrective actions.
Liaise with various internal departments (Credit, Credit Admin etc.) for smooth and quick turnaround of transactions. Follow up with other bank departments to expedite processing of customer related issues and documentation.
Co-coordinating, where appropriate, the development of remedial action plans necessary to minimize potential losses. Getting involved actively in compromise proposals and restructuring arrangements in cases where the Bank’s lending is doubtful of full recovery.
Ensure adherence to internal & external audit & compliance requirements.
Ensure the review of the existing portfolio in timely manner, establish appropriate business plan, and recommend appropriate structure of credit facilities in line with the bank’s credit policy to maximize earning while containing risk to an acceptable level, and achieve a satisfactory average rating on portfolio credit quality.
Keep abreast of industry and country-level developments in identifying and analyzing fundamental competitive strengths and weaknesses of prospective projects under consideration
Develop and retain high quality team to create economic value.
