-Provide objectives directions and priorities and make decisions of allocating resources within the team to deliver results that have direct impact on the achievement of KPIs.
-Define manufacturing improvement goals and supporting programs to reduce setup, improves productivity and quality, reduces manufacturing cycle time, lowers conversion costs, minimizes machine downtime and achieve on time delivery.
-Build people capability and develop team talents through effective associates relations, hiring, training, engaging and communication for shop floor Associates.
-Identifies and resolve issues using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
-Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
-Analyzes and develop permanent solutions to prevent chronic or significant quality issues.
* Supporting the financial department as a cost engineer in the following:
Managing the communication flow between industrial operations controllers and the financial controllers.
Forecasting, setting and controlling the budget of the processing costs.
Forecasting, setting and controlling the annual CAPEX and the depreciation of the fixed assets.
Forecasting, setting and controlling the year-to-date and month-to-date manufacturing cost per family product on a monthly
basis.
Reporting, directly to top management in Egypt and Japan, the variance analysis of the actual manufacturing costs against
standard, previous forecasts.
Simulating any sudden change/ requirement by the various functions on the CPU “Cost per Unit”.
Setting and follow up action plans with the various departments in order to keep the manufacturing cost budget.
Assigned to a benchmarking activity on the manufacturing cost and total delivery cost with Renault Plant in Morocco.
* Acting as a production engineer with the following tasks:
Co-pilot of the 3rd shift launching team regarding the manpower calculation and its relevant cost.
Issuing “delegation of authority” and purchasing requests for any new requirements “Equipment, tools and
manpower” supporting any other related department.
Supporting the industrial engineering department in the calculation of “Design Standard Time Ratio”, manpower
calculation, time studies and kaizen implementation.
Supporting the painting section in the new model at the JIG trial phase.
Successful and smooth launching of the 3rd shift.
* Conducting the purchasing cycle with the main 5 suppliers as follows:
Reviewing requisition (paper or electronic), which identifies specification, quantity, and delivery requirements.
Issuing purchase order; assign supplier, prices and release purchase order.
Following up; track the status and expedite as necessary.
Receiving goods; use P.O. to verify order and receipt and receive and track partial shipments.
Approving payment; match invoice against P.O. and approve payment once goods are received and accepted.
* Supplier Development Engineer with authority from both Nissan and Supplier to:
Develop the supplier’s facilities in order to ramp up the production at its side with the aid of the internal industrial
Engineering and Product Development sections.
Solve any problem in the material management/ cash flow that may obstacle the delivery process.
Participate in the execution of production plans at the supplier side according to Nissan’s requirements.
Worked on a project that applies the concept of OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) all over the “Heaters”
plant and the improvement of its performance leading to increase it 5% from 65 to 70%.
Worked on the production improvement of the assembly line using several engineering tools; 5s, line balance,
activity sampling, principles of motion study, simulation and modeling analysis of the assembly line.
