Key responsibilities include:
- Planning of the audit and specific assignments for the Group companies as per communicated Annual Plan.
- Performing Financial and Operational audits of the respective areas of the group companies.
- Processes gap analysis / Error identification / identification of internal control weaknesses in the process along with leading reasons.
- Devising recommendations and implementations of actions plans under agreed expected time frame with the companies' management.
- Data collection, preparing analysis and preparation of the final reports for issuance to the respective companies' General Manager.
- Quarterly compilation of all the issues and reports for preparation of Executive Summary to Leadership committee.
Working as a Senior in the Audit and Assurance Department, my key responsibilities include:
- Engagement planning based on understanding of the entity and assessment of business and related audit risks;
- Coordination with Managers and Directors of the Firm to update on progress and finalization of the engagement;
- Coordination with teams to define the extent of planned audit procedures;
- Supervision, review and finalization of assurance engagements and other special assignments;
- Liaison with client's management and communication of relevant matters to persons at appropriate level of responsibility;
- Consultation on significant matters with various professionals such as lawyers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts;
- Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities;
- Providing basic advisory services to clients in respect of taxation, accounting treatment of transactions and compliance with secretarial practices;
- On-the-job and off-the -job training and professional development of staff; and
- Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and directives issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and other regulatory authorities
