Worked as “Lead Planning & Project Controls Engineer” in Project Management Organization for the construction, commissioning & start-up of Polysilicon Plant. EPC Contract of $1.2 billion for polysilicon production facility comprises of 2 Process Trains to manufacture 8, 000 MTPY of high purity solar-grade polysilicon.
Scope of Work: Civil, Mechanical and E&I discipline’s major quantities included 120, 000 M3 of Concrete, Fab & Erection of 550, 000 DI of Piping, 10, 000 MT of Steel Structure, 6, 500 MT of Equipment and 2.5 million LM of Electrical & Instrument Cable laying for Main Plant & Sub-stations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Ensure that project controls documents such as integrated master schedule, resources histograms, progress measurement systems, key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting & handover systems, material control systems, etc. are fully developed and reviewed by Project Management and that Engineering, Procurement, Construction, pre-commissioning / commissioning and start-up interfaces are properly addressed.
 To monitor and analyze progress, productivity, trend analysis, equipment utilization and provide reports for health of the Project as compared to the baseline and latest forecast plans and other KPIs.
 Review and approval of EPC contractor, subcontractors and technology provider’s detailed schedules and progress measurement systems, equipment and manpower histograms, daily, weekly & monthly progress reports. Vendors mobilization tracking and progress monitoring to comply with the commissioning schedule.
 To provide support to the various Project groups (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Handover Systems, Commissioning and Start-up) to ensure that Project Management requirements for timely and accurate reporting of Project activities are achieved.
 Organize & coordinate internal management meetings and the meetings with all the stakeholders to track progress vs. base plan and to analyze delays, their impact and recommended mitigation actions. Anticipate and resolve any problems related to discipline interfaces, bottlenecks and new matters if any.
 Resources estimation based on standard productivity norms and recommendations to all stakeholders to achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets. Indicate areas where improvements are required.
 Produce daily, weekly progress reports, dashboards and any ad-hoc reports that may be called for from internal or external sources and keep the Chief Project Officer and top management apprised of the progress and advising them of actual and expected slippages vs. base plan on a regular basis.
 Preparation of comprehensive Monthly Progress Report covering all the Project aspects regarding engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning & start-up, safety, major achievements, KPIs, progress s-curves & histograms, mechanical completion packages handover & punch points status, risk management key threats & recommendations, cost overview, change orders and other Project related updates.
 Preparation of look-ahead and recovery schedules in case of any slippages. Updating actual progress vs. planned & forecast and all related information & comparison analysis. Critical path analyses and mitigation action planning in the project schedule.
 Tracking and maintain scope changes for Civil, Mechanical and E&I items and their impact on the overall project schedule.
 Attend daily commissioning and start-up progress meetings to monitor and analyze Plant systems readiness and operations.

Position: In-Charge Planning (August 2012 to November 2012)
Worked as “In-Charge Planning” for construction of Barzan Onshore Project.
Scope of Work: Civil, Mechanical and E&I disciplines. Position: Lead Planning Engineer (June 2011 to July 2012)
Worked as “Lead Planning Engineer” for construction of Borouge-3 expansion Project i.e. “Polyolefin’s Unit (P3-A)”. The Project more than doubled the Borouge’s Polyolefins capacity to a total annual capacity of 4.5 Million Tonnes and has turned into the World’s largest Petrochemical Plant.
Scope of Work: Scope of work awarded to Descon included Fabrication / Erection of 650, 000 DI of Piping, 12, 500 MT of Steel Structure & 12, 000 MT of Equipment erection including heavy lifts.

Construction of main plant, office control building & substations, residential area, roads and underground services. Mechanical works included fabrication & erection of pipe racks, steel structures, equipments, storage vessels, tanks, piping, painting, hydrotesting and insulation/cladding etc. Complete E&I installation, termination and commissioning works.
