Ensuring proper condition monitoring and in-depth analysis of Lubrication Oil used in different types of Rotating Machinery within the Terminal; collecting Oil Samples on routine basis from different assets within the division and sent to laboratory for spectro and wear particle analysis
• Providing monthly or bi-monthly conclusion and recommendations to the management on the basis of spectro analysis from the laboratory combined with machinery Vibration data followed with a proper follow up
• Conducting and analyzing Transient Vibration Surveys (with the use of IOTech 618 Zonic Book), analyzing online monitoring through Bently Nevada systems (system 1, 3500, 3300) and conducting different sorts of Root Cause Failure Investigations (RCA) on different types of rotating machinery present within the terminal with occasional visits to Ras Tanura Refinery
• Regulating the condition monitoring section in Saudi Aramco Terminal Reliability Unit and approve and perform quality analysis and reporting on routine vibration data collection, oil sampling & Lab analysis reports, Video (Olympus) and boroscopic inspecton, thermal imaging (FLIR), motor current signature analysis (PdMA) for electrical health monitoring of different motors and use of ultrasonic flow meter (Essiflo) on different pumps and lube oil flow lines to investigate the health of the pumps by drawing and comparing annual pump curves

Key Assignments:
• Established and implemented the Lubrication Excellence Management Program within the terminal department of Saudi Aramco, where the goal is to spread it across the whole company on a corporate level
• Compared the current situation of lubrication practices at Saudi Aramco to the world class best practices recommended by Saudi Aramco Lubrication Manual, NORIA, ICML and Chevron
• Performed a comprehensive Reliability Audit on the Transmission Oil system for Saudi Aramco Terminal Tank Farm shipping trains.; attended audit as a consequence of a reduction in viscosity reported by the Oil Condition Monitoring Laboratory for some of the Shipping Pump’s VOITH gearboxes, followed by repeat recommendations from Saudi Aramco Consulting Services Department to change the oil
• Operated as Lube Oil Analyst (MLA III certified); performed analysis for fault prognosis and diagnosis and mostly coupled with advanced transient vibration analysis; merit of being the only employee holding machinery lubricant analyst level III (MLA III) from ICML certification
• Imparted trainings to the Engineers in the area of fundamentals of lubrication, vibration and ultrasonic flow measurement. Machinery Lubrication analysis is a highly skilled course, which is the only one of its kind in Saudi Aramco
• Conducted a number of case studies in the field of lubrication and vibration. Headed mega and multimillion dollar Lubrication Excellence Project in Saudi Aramco which is a corporate wide effort and ongoing until the ICML's John R. Battle and Gill awards were achieved
• Served as an Instructor for NORIA USA Machinery Lubrication Level 1 and Oil analysis Level II (ML-1/OA-II) Certifications from Saudi Aramco Terminal department

• Responsible to provide Reliability Engineering Services through the use of latest Condition Monitoring techniques such as, Vibration Analysis, Transient data collection, Oil Analysis, Flow Measurement Tests, Leak detections and thermal imaging etc to the offshore industry in the northern and southern parts of North Sea of United Kingdom. Also responsible for setting up the measurement points in SKF’s condition monitoring databases and softwares (Polymanager, @ptitude analyst and @ptitude observer softwares) for online and offline machinery.

• Inspection and fault diagnosis on all types of machinery on different assets by the use of Dynamic signal analysers (Zonic book/IOTech 652u) through BNC connections on Bently Nevada/CML panels or with a hand held data collector (DI 460, DI 225, Microlog etc).

• Responsible for making of business proposals for the clients as per the type of job and implement reliability programs and new technologies. I have always actively contributed in our group’s products (hardware/software etc) and services sale and my long term client relationship in Aberdeen and North Sea Market have also helped me in company’s sales.
• Hands of Reliability Engineering and Condition Monitoring experience especially vibration analysis on all types of high speed and medium sized turbo machinery to our various clients in the North Sea and in different parts of the world.

• An active member of company’s Quality, Health and Safety committee and now involved in setting up new Quality Work Instructions for Transient Vibration Surveys/Rotor Dynamics and Analysis and approach to routine vibration analysis. I have also given the concept of a standardized Technical Note across the whole company for our routine Condition Monitoring clients, which has led to the evolution of new Results Reporter website in SKF Aberdeen.
• Responsible for mentoring new comers and young Engineers in the company.
• Involved with company’s Technical Manager in the research and development of SKF confidential Life Cycle Prognosis (LCP) project from its beginning, which is to develop and launch a world wide SKF patented product. I have been involved in the research and development of this upcoming robust product and for this I am completely in contact with the project teams in SKF CMC Livingston UK and SKF ERC BTP Nieuwegein, Netherlands.

• Responsible for conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in order to find developing and developed faults in machines, giving suggestions to troubleshoot and resolve the diagnosed faults and finally recommendations to the management and clients in the form of Technical Reports and presentations where necessary.

The second project was on the refrigeration needs of the plant. The topic of my second project WAS ICE WATER GENERATION SYSTEM, ITS DISTRIBUTION IN THE PLANT AND ITS EFFICIENCY. In the project I did all the energy calculations, per day consumption and required flow rate of ice water, factors affecting the efficiency of the system and suggestions to improve efficiency.
