Interact with businesses as normal customers including a physical visit or concluding a telephone call or website enquiry and then report back on the experience to Ethos.
Conducting research in Thermal Energy Storage System, including optimizing a refrigeration system, using Tecplot Focus and National Instruments Data Acquisition tool to log data.
Conducting research in Autonomous Systems particularly in developing embedded system for small scale helicopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) autopilot using PC/104 industrial PC, Microchip PIC and dsPIC microcontrollers, and dSPACE. Including utilizing AutoCAD and CATIA for any engineering drawing purposes, utilizing MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE Control Desk, and MSC Adams to do any modelling and simulation tasks.
Conducting supervision and teaching to undergraduate students in manufacturing and control labs on control application experiments, casting, welding, forging, fatigue and torsion tests, using conventional lathe and milling machines, and using Brinell hardness test machine.
Developing simple microcontroller systems.
Assisting and supervising undergraduate students in their lab experiments.
Receiving and analysing aircraft repair data from aircraft technician including Maintenance Discrepancy Report (MDR), Structural Repair Report (SRR), Aircraft Structural Damage Control Sheet (ASDCS), Aircraft Maintenance Log, and Service Difficulty Report.
Assessing the aircraft repair data and providing the best solution of the maintenance action according to the Aircraft Maintenance Manual.\
Assessing the existing repair job to make sure everything is done according to the manual and the standard procedure.
