Providing assistance to the Project Engineer.
Managing the detailed design process for all structural elements and for design changes during the execution phase.
Supervision of all Civil works as a representative of consultant including Earthworks, Structural Works, Finishes, Repair Works and Piping networks.
Coordinating promptly with the construction and QC supervisors regarding the QC inspections in line with the RFI and Daily inspection schedule.
Managing all the relevant latest approved documents needed for inspection at work point such as ITP, drawings, method statements and daily inspection schedule.
Assistance in the management of cost and time control.
Ensuring the timely issuance of all engineering deliverables pertaining to my scope.
Review and approval of method statement for commissioning of work at site.
Review and approval of structural design and shop drawings submitted by contractor as per international Codes and Standards.
Review and Preparation of Design Reports.
Responsible for providing guidance and motivation to team members working under me.
Review the technical content of any Non Conformance Application (NCA) received from the Engineering Contractors. Recommending acceptance, acceptance with comments, or rejection of the NCA to management.
Interfaces with contractor and civil engineering team and provide technical guidance and direction to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met. Review and approve all related technical documents for civil & structural discipline.
Keeping Log of all technical data related to structure design calculations, approved shop drawings, daily progress reports and RFI documents.
Structural analysis, design and detailing using Software and manual approach according to international codes and standards.
Preparation of Shop drawings as per detailing rules of international codes and standards.
Preparation of design basis, Specifications for civil / structural works.
Participating in estimation, costing and preparation of budgets for civil structural engineering projects.
Review and approval of structural design submitted by contractors as per industry standards and codes.
Review and approval of shop drawings submitted by contractor.
Site visits as client representative to ensure that work is in congestion with contract specification and approved construction drawings.
Preparation of design reports as required by the client.
Participating in different feasibility studies keeping in mind the functionality of structure, cost and structural safety.
Coordination between different departments for timely issuance of all deliverables pertaining to my scope.
Attending the technical meetings with client and contractor to help improve quality of work and resolve any issues.
Being a representative of site execution team, working as a coordinator and assisting the senior Engineers.
Preparing daily progress reports and submitting to Lead Engineer.
Estimation of work scope and material requirement at different sites.
Arrangement of different resources for timely execution of work at site.
Coordination with Consultant’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
Assisting in conducting quality inspections for all works related to Civil Works and Infrastructure.
Maintain Log of all technical data related to civil works, daily progress reports, RFI and NCR documents.
Attending the technical meetings with client and consultant to help improve quality of work and resolve any issues.
Confirming correctness and completeness of ‘As-Built’ drawings.
