I have +15 Years Experience in Piping construction & Inspections, Welding, fabrication, installation, commissioning in QA/QC multidiscipline fields as QA/QC Inspector / Site client representative of major projects in the heavy construction industry including: Petrochemicals Facilities, Oilfields, Gas fields, Oil Refinery, Fertilizer Complex, Pipelines, Cross country Pipelines, Flow lines etc.
A broad knowledge of Mechanical, Piping, Pipeline, Valves, Tanks, Structural Steel, Welding & NDT, Painting & Coating, Insulation, as well as design practices and standards. I have strong presentation and interaction skills to participate in the QHSE initiative.
I have the working knowledge of the relevant specifications. I have experience to identifying and resolving the “site” issues with the contractor, (being pro active and practical), also providing the specialist support service on inspection and maintenance engineering to company Operations Support Department including inspection techniques.
Working Experience (Q/C Piping/Painting/Welding & T/Packs)
Receive the RFI (Request for Inspection) from the discipline staff and carry out the inspection of the painting and insulation as per the ITP, identify any discrepancies and generate the NCR’s.
Carry out the mechanical inspection after the line has been fully installed and generate the punch list with the A, B and C category items clearly and initiate the hydro testing procedure.
Coordinate with the discipline engineers to take corrective actions to ensure the closure of NCRs.
Ensure that necessary levels of reliability in equipment and systems are reached by the correct specification of requirements through to proper installation, commissioning and test.
Report any major Quality issues to the Quality Manager of the Project Management Team.
Review of all certification and documentation to ensure validity and compliance with specifications, drawings, manufacturing and inspection test plans.
Prior to hydrostatic testing carry a walk through inspection to check for fabrication/welding etc that may be required to meet conformance to isometric GA, P&IDs.
Coordinating with all inspection activities related to Tie-in, piping mechanical completion, Test packs and technical documentation such as ITPs & Ms etc
To evaluate Technical requirements in accordance to procedures and mention the WPS, NDT, PAMI and PWHT requirements in every QC ISOMETRIC before piping pre-fabrication.
Functional responsibility for piping fabrication, welding, erection quality control & NDT
To review test packs limit and ensure engineering isometric is matching with PEFS (PROCESS ENGINEERING FLOW SCHEMES).
To monitor and check pressure gauges and relief valve calibration status and their validity
Oversee the hydro testing process including the selection of joints as per ITP, identifying the test limits ensuring the usage of proper gauges.
Carry out inspection of work in progress including checking if the right procedure is followed for the piping as well as the check for the qualification of the piping personnel and the kind of materials being used for the process.
Study and understand the project scope and specifications as well as the ITP’s and Method statements with respect paining and insulation.
Monitor welds consumables storing, portable oven usage and control of electrodes movements.
Verifying the approved welding procedure specification is properly exercised during welding.
Check all fittings condition, pipe alignment and proper orientation during fit-up / installation.

Check of Painting Specification as per drawing / Client Specifications / Manufacturer’s specs.
Physical check of expiry date & RAL # (Color Code).
Check of Paint Ingredient mixing ratio, pot life and paint apply procedure (airless spray records).
Check of wet film thickness (WFT), dry to touch time and dry film thickness (DFT).
Plant Piping and Equipment's (Rotary, Static), Structural, Tanks grit blasting and Painting work.
Can Check and Review sub-contractor’s procedures and method statements, quality plans, ITP’s.
Ensure that the weather conditions are suitable for painting, check if the right materials are being used for blasting check surface profile prior to the painting process. Generate reports once the painting is completed and submit GOC.
Review the MTC, s and NDT procedures
Monitoring DSS, CS and LTCS piping fab’n, erection and welding activities as per client’s Specs.
Welding Procedure review and conducting PQR Program (DSS, CS, SS, and LTCS).
To review & mark the test packs limit and ensure engineering isometric is matching with P&IDs.
Supervise the piping erection, fabrication and hydro testing activities.
Supervise the fabrication, installation, and erection of piping, pipe fittings, valves, and tie in connections on the main process pipe rack of the plant.
Pipe line fabrication, welding, Stringing, Lowering, Pre-padding, as per code API 1104
Supervision of Stringing and Excavation, Pin brazing, cathodic protection, trenching, Lowering, sand padding, and back filling of pipeline
Supervise the Pigging, hydro testing, windrow and Right of Way activities.
To review for compliance with Drawings, Specifications, Codes, Projects Specs such as Relevant National and International Codes(ASME, ANSI, NACE, ASTM, BS, AWS, API) and project specs.
Responsible for all documentation of site activities, progress reports, welding & fit up reports.
To support the piping engineering team, reporting initially to I/C piping.
Support field changes and re-routes, walk down and punching out of piping systems prior to H/T.
Leading/Supervising the technical manpower groups at erection site.
Hydro testing, Flushing, Chemical cleaning, Pigging & Drying of piping system & equipment's

Supervising the fabrication, installation, and erection of Duplex Stainless steel, CS, LTCS piping.
To support the piping group by operating Smart Plant Review terminal, support piping as-building scope of work and understanding of piping systems, be able to read Isometrics, P&ID’s and piping GA’s. Basic understanding of piping system components, material line classes etc.
Preventive maintenance of ammonia storage tanks, vessels, valves, cooling towers, prilling tower, and routine maintenance tasks.
