Responsible for OTB, buying, distributions, replenishment, markdowns, load-ins, cancellations, & transfers by using merchandising system & information provided by stores.
 Budgeting and forecasting for the product categories.
 Planning and implementing effective product mix for specific region according to the consumer buying pattern.
 Implementing long term / short term retail plans and strategies to enhance sales in coordination with the macro plans of organisation & industry trends. Efforts towards increase in department margin.
 Selection of right product and determination of reasonable price points for specific territories.
 Negotiations with suppliers for right price for selected products for the season buying.
 Focus on inventory control and close watch on OTB (open to buy) in order to achieve department target.
 Constant watch on forward stock cover in order to avoid the stock out situation and loss of sale.
 Quantity planning for the concerned warehouses, so that there should be a smooth replenishment and avoidance of stock out situation.
 Competitor analysis, in order to provide the best product at best price to the final customer.
 Implementing sales promotion plans & new store merchandise planning to generate increased sales for achievement of revenue targets.
 Coordinating promotional activities for new releases & special products.
 Support function for supply chain department for the timely execution of stock movement from the supplier to warehouse and from the warehouse to the stores.
