Internal Audit HBL
HBL internal audit function perform for HBL presence in 29 countries globally. As a HBL Certified Audit Team Lead responsibilities include Short term & long term plan, cover the audit universe, ensure risk base assessment of Process evaluation, auditing communication with business/operation process owner, prepare exception working paper and write up final report and assign rating in alignment with Internal audit chartered. It contains internal audits as well as investigations as under;

o Risk management plan preparation, presentation, prepare the response to eliminate risk and helps in audit process improvement.
o Risk Analysis to identify the risk and vulnerabilities to evaluate the risk treatment and control placed appropriately.
o Compliance and substantive level analysis/test to provide minimal assurance of risk coverage along with review and recommendation on business continuity plan.
o Risk profiling review, identify the risk determined while assessing the risk and recommend the risk treatment i.e. mitigation, acceptance, share or avoidance of the identified risk.
o Identification of risk strategically within HBL, its quantification and impact on business and risk category (Credit, Market, Operational) and prioritize them as risk classification.
o Ensure the repository updated with the risk of all projects and services.
o Risk awareness management session conduct through Learning & Development center to ensure risk understanding established well in the HBL.

Audit scope and objectives include Information Technology, Fincon / Financial Control, Trade Operation, Cash Management, General Administration Department, Branch Core Operation, Income & Expenditure, Clearing, Credit & Collection, Management and Branchless Banking/Mobile financial service audit. However, it is not limited. Additionally, Completed review of I.T projects, ICT, ADCs and network with EY- External Audit Team.

HBL Mobile Financial Service Strategy & Planning May 2012 Till September 2016
Launched Pakistan’s first Mobile financial services Telecom agnostic model. Franchise, retail, merchant channel has been introduced for covering all financial inclusion geographical locations. It was support program for country’s economy documentation of unbanked population. Commercially Launched April 29th, 2013. Salient responsibilities were;

o Analysis for product development team.
o Project life cycle for MFS as initiate, Plan, develop, deployment and closure for Sales & Distribution, financial system commercial use, Staff training, operational support for business activities etc.
o PMO for marketing campaign included BTL, procurements for various activities through vendor, and ATL.
o Ensured cost and budgetary plans were followed for cost management within approved budget.
o MFS targets finalization, monitoring and Dashboard reporting for the management.
o Management of complete out sourcing team deployed for various departments, salary management, insurance policy, medical claims, travel claim including monitoring and compliance.
o Franchise office design and roll out after approval nationwide.
o Vendors’ assessment and selection and assign KPIs.
o OPEX and CAPEX preparation and implementation for franchise.
o Monitor policy implementation of agent due diligence approved by SBP.
o Technologies involved are SAP, SQL Server, MS Office and Project and MS platform.
o Managed strategic partnership with partners, strengthen relationship and Public communications.
o Major Projects completed with partners i.e. Zong, PTCL, Government of Pakistan (PDMA, NDMA, etc).

Warehouse Management (Jazz - VEON)
 Inventory Management and ensure timely in/out transactions
 Warehouse automation projected completed in one and half year with saving of 10 million.
 Existing staff training and utmost utilization of resources to streamline Mobilink’s huge un archives.
 Forecasting for requirement and management for supply chain to support customer satisfaction with respect to delivery time factor at touch points.
 Various vendors’ management for their respective assigned contracts.
 Technology used hummingbird and Tera data, SQL Server and MS Office (Mainly Excel).

Sims Distribution Management (Jazz - VEON)
 Distribution of stock as per targets, demand and available activation slots in HLRs, SHLRs and HLS.
 Sims Replenishment process redesigned for effective, timely & efficient provisioning of replacement
Sim at franchise & business center (Pan Pakistan) through software deployment after complete SDLC.
 Achieve Business and function objectives by maintaining supply chain.
 On time supply of all stock / products in minimum cost.
 Continues monitoring and have eye view in order to maximize the sales, optimize the inventory at all store and ensure timely delivery of stock against requirement / orders.
 Pivotal role between Manufacturer, finance, Marketing, Engineering, customer care and Sales & Distribution departments aligned with upcoming commercials according to company’s vision.
