To maintain plant and equipment using optimal resources thus ensuring maximum plant availability.
Organizational relation ship.
Report to supertendant of mechanical maintenance.
coordinates with other maintenance section, operation, procurement, , inspection and store.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Plan, coordinate and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance and maintain maximum availability of plant.
Ensure adherence to the applicable maintenance procedure, permit to work and safety standards
perform pre engineering and provide technical support and guideness to technitian in various maintenance activities including trouble shooting and repair as per corrective work order instructions
supervise replacement, servicing of equipment as required.
Maintain adequate spareparts inventory of plant equipments, tools, measuring instruments and personel protective equipments .
Prepare material and equipment specification and techno commercial evaluation of bids.
carry out inspection of received materials for acceptance in line with specification.
Assist in budgeting and monitoring plant operation, maintenance and capital expenditure as per approved budget.
Provide on job training and transfer of knowledge and experience to subordinate technitians to improve their skills
Maintain team spirit and good housekeeping
Supervice and record plant shutdown activities.
Markup the plant buildup drawing for any field change.
Maintain equipment failure history.
