•Review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) prepared by Design consultants and ensures that they are according to drawings and specifications
•Prepare quantity take off from IFC drawings and BOQ preparation for subcontract agreements.
•Verifies project control budgets and updates them as required for Management approval.
•Ensure prompt and regular submission of main contract interim payment application along with supporting documents and negotiate with consultant to receive timely certification.
•Preparation of Variation orders and submission to consultant/Client for approval.
•Arrange Sub contract packages for Quotation
•Assist in tender submissions.
•Review of sub contractor invoices, payment certificates and final invoices.
•Reconciliation of actual cost with budget on projects.
•Cost control feedback to estimators to ensure estimating data is accurate.
• Preparing Preliminary, Detailed and Revised estimates, reports for new works and maintenance works and ensuring its correctness and adequacy.
• Taking and recording measurements and assisting in check measurements.
• Approval of plans submitted for building permit as per existing building rules and regulations.
• Setting out works or checking the same to see that works are carried out according to approved plans..
• Take over the completed structure or work from the contractor after ensuring that all debris, balance materials, temporary construction etc., are removed and site cleaned up.
• Inspecting the work of construction contractors, advising on sustainability and giving advice and helping develop the project
• Provide Engineering advice and technical solutions on different projects.
• Checking the quality of work executed, taking the measurement of quantities executed and recording the measurements in the measurement books.
• Meeting with management or appropriate staff to understand their requirements.
• Assist the Assistant Engineer for collection of all field data for preparing layout, designs and preliminary estimates. •Supervision of construction of Groynes, Breakwater and Finger Jetty at Thalai Fishing Harbour, Thalassery • Checking the workmanship in the execution of work is good and ensuring that quality is maintained in all aspects. • Supervise reinforcement work as directed by Assistant Engineer report its completion.
• Project coordination, planning and management of multistoreyed buildings • Monitors and coordinates all contractors’ activities for assigned area. • Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. • Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. • Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
