Responsibilities:

• Oversee overall management of all construction operations, including construction schedules, quality assurance, and field progress.
• Construction contracts administration including variation orders, engineer instructions, claims, processing of payment and value engineering activities associated with the MEP works.
• Oversee the complete design process, design review and Construction of District Cooling and Automated Waste Collection Systems.
• Evaluate construction delays and assist in the preparation of recovery plans to mitigate their impact. Provide appropriate technical solutions to the Client.
• Oversee the performance of the supervision Consultant, ensuring that quality control procedures are being implemented
• Review of various Contractors’ technical proposals and provide recommendation to the client.
• Pre-qualifying and evaluating Consultants / Contractors in accordance with various tender strategies.
• Developing testing and commissioning plans, procedures, schedules as required.
• Managing and participating in review and approval process of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) of each systems & equipment, O&Ms, As Built documentation etc.
• Contribute relevant data to the PM monthly reports, special reports and presentation as necessary
• Ensure contractors adhere to the Authorities processes & requirements. Assist in following up with the Authorities to get approvals for the relevant services

Project: Heart of Doha Project
Client: Mshiereb Properties
Turner working as project manager at Heart of Doha, a multi-use development on 35 hectares located in Inner Doha.

Designation: MEP Manager


Duties
1. Overseeing the construction activities .
2. Overseeing the Design Activities
3.Construction Contracts Administration including Variation orders, Engineer Instructions, claims and processing of payment
4. Monitoring and drafting reply to correspondence
5. Run Contracts progress Meetings
6. Run coordination meetings
7. Review construction schedules and monitor progress associated with the MEP activities. Evaluate manpower, skilled tradesman and equipment requirements.

9. Pre-qualifying and evaluating Consultants/Contractors in accordance with various tender strategies

Turner working as project manager at Dubai Maritime City, a multi-use development on 220 hectares of reclaimed land. The master plan calls for retail, hotel, office and residential complexes along with a marina, ferry and harbor. Additional components include a maritime commercial center with facilities for the design, manufacture and repair of sea-going vessels, research centers and facilities for marketing education and related maritime services and administrative buildings.



Duties:

1. Design Reviews for several projects Involved in Construction Management.
2. Manage Consultants during different design stages, Concept to Tender and liaise with the Client to incorporate related requirements.
3. Ensure MEP design is in compliance with the Authorities’ regulations.
4. Pre-qualifying and evaluating Consultants/Contractors in accordance with various tender strategies.
5. Review construction schedules and monitor progress associated with the MEP activities. Evaluate manpower, skilled tradesman and equipment requirements.
6. Assist in the preparation of the procurement strategy and identify long lead MEP materials.
7. Perform technical analysis of MEP services contract change orders and claims. Participate in value engineering activities associated with the MEP works.
8. Ensure contractors adhere to the Authorities processes & requirements. Assist in following up with the Authorities to get approvals for the relevant services.
9. Evaluate construction delays and assist in the preparation of recovery plans to mitigate the impact of delays.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Senior Mechanical Engineer
• Preparing material submittals for the Consultant approval.
• Preparing shop drawings for building.
• Preparing material requisition for all plumbing works.
• Study and analysis of all Engineer Instructions and variations (design and execution).
• Preparing O & M manuals, handing over and closeout documents.
• Liaise and coordination with the Consultant for all the above.
• Managing the testing and commissioning activities.
• Managing the Constrcution Progress activities.


2. Estimation Engineer
• Float enquiries for various mechanical equipment and material.
• Evaluate tender documents, including technical evaluation, define the scope of work, study the drawings and compare it with tender documents, and perform the quantity take offs.
• Evaluate suppliers / sub-contractor prices and prepare comparison statement Evaluate the technical and commercial submittal of suppliers / sub-contractors offers.
• Prepare costing sheet including direct cost, indirect cost, man hours for installation work and other related cost.
• Attend meetings with the Client and the Consultant to answer queries related to post tender clarifications.
• Preparation and compilation of tender documents.

Position Held: Site Engineer responsible for all mechanical works. (HVAC, plumbing & fire fighting system).

Project Name: Prince Hamza Hospital
Position Held: Preparing workshop drawings for all mechanical works

A: Safir Imperial Palace Hotel (4 Stars)
Position Held: Site Engineer executing the following:
1- Central air conditioning (2 chillers with a capacity of 95 Tons per
unit, 5 air handling units with a capacity of 4200 CFM and 110 fans
coil units with a capacity of 500 CFM
2- Ducts work: installation of 18 Tons of ducts
3- Heating system (2 boilers with a capacity of 45000 K CAL/H per
unit and 2 heat exchangers)
4- Steam boiler for the laundry with a capacity of 1.000, 000 KCAL
and pipes)
5- Fire fighting system (sprinklers, hose reel cabinet, wet system &
dry system)
6- Plumbing for 90 bathrooms, 2 main kitchens, coffee shop, water piping
& 6 main pumps


B: Garden Palace Hotel Project (4 Stars)
Position Held: Site Engineer executing the following:
1- Central air conditioning (2 chillers with a capacity of 110 Tons per
unit, 7 air handling units & 125 fan coil units)
