• Attending kick-off meetings to highlight main issues at construction phase start up.
• Attending weekly project progress and QC meetings.
• Review and approve the contractor quality procedures as per ITP and applicable standards.
• Performing regular informal focused assessment of selected elements/processes of the contractor quality system and construction phase processes to ensure that the project quality activities and processes are effective and to pro-actively identify and eliminate the quality gapes to avoid reworks and project delays.
• Review the qualification and experiences of the contractor’s QC personnel related to construction phase against the criteria specified in Minimum Quality Requirements, conducting written and oral test for candidates’ competency assessment and approval.
• Conducting regular surveillance at warehouse/site storage to conform preservation of all materials as per vendor/manufacturer and applicable standard guidelines.
• To monitor and inspect on-going construction activities to ensure that rework and potential non-compliances are avoided. Keeping the Level of surveillance inspection coverage higher during the early stage of any activity in direct relation to the effectiveness of the Contractor's quality system and his ability to provide acceptable quality at wellhead platforms/construction site.
• Perform equipment and miscellaneous material receiving inspections at the construction site to ensure that materials are procured as per approved Material Requisition, issued PO, delivery notes, within tolerance, grade and quality specified, and that they are properly transported and stored without any damage.
• Review and accepting the procured material document and third party inspection report an final inspection release note.
• Regular witness of preservation of static and rotating equipment
• Witness static and rotating equipment pre installation foundation inspection as per company and international standard requirement.
• Witness installation and alignment of static and rotating equipment and monitoring the alignment procedure implementation during the activity.
• Attending RFIs (Request for Inspection), issue LBEs against findings through scheduled inspections and follow up issued LBEs (if violating any standard requirement) with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action in order to track project quality issues.
• To review the Contractor's quality control documents and test results for conformance to project requirements.
• Assist in the review of Project Drawings and Specifications for compliance with Company and International Standards.
• Promote and build awareness of the project quality requirements and safety compliance.
• Perform other inspection related duties as directed by the PQM.
• Participate in weekly quality tour & quality meeting with proponent/operations/maintenance representatives, main contractor & subcontractors. Participate in the mechanical punch item acceptance activities.
• Monitor contractors’ inspectors and quality management system to ensure adequate performance and compliance with Company Quality requirements.
• Mentoring to young Saudi trainee engineers on job site.
• Performing miscellaneous pre, in-process and post activity inspections with contractor QC personnel as per ITP for further proceeding and final acceptance.
• Perform Equipment internal inspection and acceptance as per vendor drawing.
• Witness thickness verification inspection of equipment and pipe surface.
• Witnessing installation of valves with orientation/flow directions and final flange management inspection.
• Reviewing hydro test packages, weld history, ISO drawings, P&ID drawings, conducting walk through prior to hydro test of the piping systems, punch listing the outstanding items, verifying the rectification.
• Witnessing pressure test for final acceptance and consecutive lay-up.
• Witness and accepting tie in and hot tapping activity as per ITP
