IT Support Specialist - Provided first-level technical support for global IT infrastructure supporting 1000+ employees throughout Gulf region.
Troubleshoot Hardware, Software and Network Issues
• OS: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003/2008 server
• Active Directory: create, modify users and computers
• Hardware: HP and Dell Laptops, Desktop and Servers.
• Email : Lotus notes, Outlook
• Software’s : Install and troubleshoot AutoCAD, MS Office,
• Remote support using Netmeeting, IBM Tivoli Big Fix, Altiris
• BMC Remedy
• Altiris imaging for imaging and data backup of systems
• Involved in end user support and helpdesk support for of all kinds of hardware/ software & network related issues.
• Focus on helpdesk remedy system like using Remedy Call System, generation of monthly reports on hardware, software, LAN and WAN issues across branches using REMEDY reporting tool.
• Generate and provide REMEDY reports pertaining to problem management and assets to the management.
• Install server operating systems like Windows 2003 and 2008 server; configure RAID on Dell servers apart from updating MS updates on new and production servers.
• Maintenance of domain & configuration back up, installation of Antivirus Symantec End point protection, rack mounting of servers and installing Tivoli monitoring software.
• Hardening of new & production servers; installation of software on servers and creating virtual servers on VMWare.
• Configuration of Blackberry on Blackberry server apart from configuration & troubleshooting of blackberry devices.
• Implement VOIP in branches across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Northern Emirates & Alain besides focusing on maintenance of PC, banking software, rollout of printers in branches across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Northern Emirates and Alain region.
