Regular responsibilities include managing of Logistics and Operations (Land & Sea) in UAE.
" Organising shipments, planning and scheduling the delivery of cargo.
" Managing transportation of material from vessel / yard to Factory.
" Handling all the Legalisation and Customs regulatory documentation of shipments for all Vessels in UAE.
" Negotiating the services of 3rd party trasportation carriers, couriers and haulage companies.
" Coordinating with Agents & Port Authorities and Cement Factories.
" Handling post fixtures of Bulk vessels.
" Day to day communication with Owners, Master, Agent and receivers of cargo.
" Excellent understanding of Bill-of-Lading B/L and LAYTIME calculations.
" Identify and manage risk within the logistics activities.
" Handling Jobs of Public Relation office, which includes Renewal of License, visas and all custom matters.
" Completing and filing compliance documentation for Loadport, Discharge port and supply chain security.
" Ensuring that all set targets are achieved.
" Managing supplier delivery performance and maintain supplier contracts.
" Negotiating pricing with local carriers.
" Visiting company sites around the country.
" Cost management and reporting.
" Development of the logistics supply base.
" Supporting other departments such as Shipping, Sales within the company.
" Identifying key Logistics cost.
" Managing Load and discharge via external distribution teams.
" Liaison with all the connected departments.
" Taking into account capacity and planning ahead accordingly.
" Implementing new processes and procedures.
" Organizing and monitoring transport of goods in the organization.
" Checking and verifying the details pertaining to the internal and external terms of order and delivery.
" Monitoring the supply and delivery of materials both to and from the company.
" Getting the paper work done for customs and transport department.
" Submitting reports to accounts and administration department.
" Maintaining low inventory.
" Communicating with transport and delivery companies .
" Getting acquainted with various laws and procedures pertaining to logistics.
" Coordinate transportation of shipments from domestic and international vendors to fulfillment.
" Develop detailed weekly and monthly freight expense reports.
" Maintain documentation for customs, loadport, discharge port and all the logistics activities.
" Enforce claims and issue charge backs.
" Accurately report any delay or problems to sales and shipping department heads.
" Processing and documentation of all details related to import & export of shipments.
