Assists in the preparation of quality documentation, including the ITPs and in the review of Construction documents (Procedures, Method Statements, MAR) for compliance with project quality requirements related to Painting & Coating.
Reviewing vendor documents/ client specifications and commenting suppliers and subcontractor’s technical offers.
Monitors all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Painting & coating works and in particular issues of design, procurement, construction and final hand over of the related Painting & Coating works.
Review and Identify the qualifications needed to obtain client approval for coating crew job clearance card (JCC).
Manage/ Perform all Painting & coating works according to ITP and as per project specification, international standards, Saudi Aramco standards etc.
Monitors all measurement & testing instruments are functional and calibrated.
Material receiving and storage inspection/ Inspection of environmental and substrate conditions/ Pre-Blast surface checking/ Test for abrasive quality/ Visual inspection (condition and calibration verification) of equipment using for Blasting and Coating/ Inspection of Blasted Surface/ Final inspections are carried out and recorded as per ITP and projects specification and ensure all necessary records are generated.
Advises the TQM /Project Quality control manager of non-conformance occurrences and where necessary, raises a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work, and monitors the closeout.
Assists the TQM /Project Quality control manager in undertaking periodic audits, including those of sub-contractors and suppliers.
Monitors the close out of punch lists established for incomplete Painting & Coating works.

Review documents like Coating Procedures, Method Statements, MAR, ITP, Check Lists, Test Reports etc.
Perform inspection as per project specification, international standards, Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards like SAES-H-001, 002, 003, 004, 100. 101, 102, 200.201 & 204.
Review and Verification of Coating Crew qualification as SAEP-316.
Monitoring of Environmental and Substate conditions prior to start any activity.
Pre-Blast surface check for assessment of salt contamination, weld/ material defects, corrosion levels etc.
Tests for abrasive quality and select appropriate abrasive material for jobs to achieve the required surface profile and cleanliness and verification of abrasives chemical analysis reports.
Visual inspection of blasting and coating Equipment’s condition and verify all calibration certificates
Inspection of blasted Surface for visual cleanliness and profile (Replica tape and comparator methods), Dust contamination, visual inspection and determining standard Sa-1, Sa 2, Sa 2-1/2 and Sa3 for all blasting.
Monitoring Specified paint quality, application methods as per manufacturer recommendation, ensuring correct mixing proportions, mixing time, recoat intervals and curing periods as per temperature and required thickness by using wet film thickness (WFT) gauges.
Inspection final completed items both visual and other tests like dry film thickness (DFT), Adhesion test, Holiday tests, Hardness tests.
Issues non-conformity report or NCR, for any deviation or to meet the project specification/ established standards. Proper follow up for closing the NCR
Monitoring all inspection, testing and measuring equipment’s calibration.
Worked in Liquid coating, External and Internal FBE (shop and field), Pipeline coating, Visco-elastic coating/ Wrapping, Internal coating using robotic crawler, Non-metallic composite coating, Concrete coating.

Supervise the task as instructed by the GASCO corrosion engineer within the competency and scope of work.
Arrange the required work permit from the operation team to carry out the assigned task.
Supervise and ensure safe condition at construction site in accordance with occupational Health/Safety and Environmental requirements.
Assist the asset integrity team leader for integrity assessment of coatings and insulation on pipe, equipment and structure.
Supervise the coating and insulation crew activity for the necessary maintenance task assigned.

Supervise all the surface preparation and coating activities going on the site.
Verify that the Coating & Insulation materials received match the approved specifications and stored/ handled accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Co-ordinate with Client, Contractor and Consultant for stage/final inspection wherever it required.

Review and Identify the total scope of work related to coating and insulation.
Site focal point for coating and insulation work and report all activities to project painting superintendent.
Supervise all the surface preparation and coating activities going on the site and coordination with insulation contractor to get daily progress details.
Maintain permanent communication with the site quality team and client representative related to coating works.
Monitor the daily activity of shop & field daily progress; engage them for priority systems completion if any.
Attend to the Daily Test pack meeting with Piping Team for the Expedition for the priority system.
Good Knowledge of P&ID, Piping Isometrics & Structural Drawings.
Ensure that all work carried out in a safe manner and well conversant with established safety policies.
Responsible for monitoring, checking, controlling of progress status of shop and field production.
Managing the procurement, storage, and inventory of coating materials, paints, tools, and equipment
verify the substrate in accordance to the relevant standards before starting of blasting & painting.
Control and allocate manpower to handle various work assignment in accordance to the project schedule.

Responsible for arranging timely inspection during Surface Preparation, Application and Final completion, proactive in the prevention of non-compliance and problem resolution.
Make sure all the inspections are carried out like Paint curing tests (M.E.K. Test), Holiday testing, DFT, Blotter test, salt and chloride contamination testing and Cross adhesive tests as per specification.
Support the quality team for preparation of painting inspection reports and other relevant inspection documents.
Responsible for wrapping/coating of underground pipes as per specification.
