Preparation of Submittals for materials and getting approval from consultants

Review of Material test certificate.

Conduct proper inspection on the received materials to ensure full compliance to specifications

Preparation of Inspection requests & checklists and coordination of inspection through client inspectors.

Control and maintain the testing equipment and measuring instruments in order to ensure accurate and reliable readings.

Participate to the Clarification Meetings.

Review and evaluate shop drawings and sketches required prior to submission to consultants according to required project standards & Specifications.

Coordinate the mechanical works with others works to prevent any contradictions or inconsistency between the different activities.

Estimation and Procurement of materials as per site requirements.

Monitor non-conformance and follow up with site management for close out and ensure preventive action to prevent recurrence

Scheduling & planning of various Mechanical activities in line with project requirement in close co-ordination with Planning Engineer.

Weekly & monthly progress reports.

Capable of preparing work progress bills, Variation orders for HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting Works.

Preperation of As built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals

Issue and control the punch list and subsequently, follow-up on it.

Prepare and issue a feedback report at the end of the project to the QA-QC Manager & Project Manager in order to ensure the continuous improvement of quality in general.

Study of Project scope of work, Contract documents, BOQ, Project Milestone, Specifications and drawings from the supplied Bid documents.

Responsible for Quantity take - off of Material and Equipment, as indicated on project tender drawings etc as follows

• HVAC Works - Centralized System consisting of Chillers, AHU, FCU, VAV Units, Fans, Grilles & Diffusers, Ductwork & Accessories, CHW Pumps, CHW Piping & Accessories, BMS etc.

• Plumbing works - Sanitary Fixtures, Water Supply Piping, Drainage Piping and Accessories.

• Fire Fighting Works - Sprinkler System, FHC, PFE, FM200, CO2 System etc and External works.

Checking Design stage or percentage of completion.

Checking Scale, Indication of Sizes and dimensions.

Prepare database of different Materials, Piping, and Equipment on a continuous basis by using Timberline Estimating programme.

Prepare Request for Quotations based upon Drawings, Specifications and BOQ

Follow up with Suppliers to get Quotation in time. Checking Quotations for compliance with Specifications, BOQ and drawings. Checking Validity of Quotations and any exclusions etc.

Prepare Bill of Quantities in MS Excel or Timberline as required by Chief Estimator and separating Bill of Quantities of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, External etc.

Prepare HVAC layout as per area basis, Water supply layout, drainage layout, Fire fighting layout and Equipment selection if only civil drawings are provided for tendering projects.

Elaboration of Material & Labour cost, Engineering & supervision cost and identification of Sub contractors work with their values.

Prepare final Mechanical Estimate of the project.
