Working on projects of ARAMCO BGCS#1 as a telecommunication engineer and supporting the field staff for implementation & troubleshooting fiber optics, UTP, TETRA, PABX and PAGA/IPPS.

I am working on STC Fiber Optics Network for OSP, FTTH, and FTTX, Junction and Access network projects and supporting the field staff for troubleshooting fiber optics issues.
1. Survey for FTTH installation and laying all kind of Fiber optical cable for OSP, FTTH network including all type of civil work. To Manage & reports from the beginning to completion of FTTH Projects, Coordinate with the O&M department to hand over the Site after the PAT.

2. Working with different integrators to provide district wise FTTX connectivity in the Saudi Arabia, Carried out Trouble shouting from MSC to customer end by using different testing tool like OTDR, power meter, and source meter and laser gun.

3. Conducting Preliminary Acceptance Test for Fiber Optic cable. Helping field technician and workers through Fiber Joint Schematic (FJS), Cable Route Diagrams and Granite Table for troubleshooting the FTTH and FTTX issues. Performing schedules maintenance Issues, trouble tickets and dispatching market personnel as required.

4. Prepare survey procedures and coordinate and communicate these with involved parties’ .Conduct site survey to monitor quality of work performed and prepare regular reports on the quality of the survey & audit results.

5. Review site reports, identify technical issues and other blocking issues, and escalate as necessary. Verify progress and quality of work of the vendors and contractors against agreed specifications and plans, and report any deviations as per project process. Working with various internal and external agencies to provide the necessary support and assistance.

6. Developed fault tracing procedures for FTTH network using (EXFO), OTDR and optical power meter.OTDR testing for Link budgeting and maintaining test reports. Laying all kind of Fiber optical cable for primary network and secondary network.

7. FTTH design approvals according to STC standards and FTTH construction activities as per construction drawing, Perform construction and maintenance of FTTH infrastructure according to industry standards.FTTH OSP work including laying/pulling & jointing of u/g copper and optical fiber cables, cable splicing, cable testing and reporting, PVC pipes, and construction of Main Holes and all other allied works.

8. To make connectivity from MSC to cabinet and follow up to subscriber OPTICAL NETWORK TERMINAL (ONT) according to the STC plan and granite paper. Fiber cable cut activities (Corrective Maintenance), Preventive Maintenance. Patching in (MSC) by using LC, FC, SC connectors to make the connectivity between MSC and customer.


9. Testing &Splicing, Termination, laying and installation of indoor/ outdoor fiber network for GPON and GSM sites and Survey, Planning and implementation of FTTH and OSP (Primary, Secondary & Junction Network) and other cabling techniques.

10. Providing Technical support to the new deployment projects like GPON FTTH OSP.End to end coordination with Multi Vendors like Huawei for ISP Equipment (OLT & ONT).

11. Responsible for checking and testing of OSP and ISP equipment, operation and maintenance of Access network, metro network and FTTH. Installation, signal testing, OTDR test result and report and trouble shouting of Fiber distribution terminal (FDT), ODF, Splitter, FDF, ONT, OLT and Fusion splicing of optical fiber.

12. Making As built/Red line drawings at the end of the work completion. Conduct PAT for the implemented project. Prepare Site Acceptance Test results & Site Inventory documentation and follow up with vendors to clear the OILS prior to final acceptance. Making site inspection to make sure that works are accomplished according to the job order.Qualtity control management for all FTTH related jobs.
