OGER SYSTEMS is a wholly owned subsidiary of SAUDI OGER Group and it is among the leading system integration companies, offering services to clients across different sectors. It offers complete turnkey solutions starting from concept, design, implementation, and commissioning wrapped with Project Management Methodology.
Functionally I am responsible for the followings and executing these tasks in IT infrastructure projects for the organization and its various prestigious clients e.g. GIP Al-Nakheel, Saudi Shura Council, Royal Protocol, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, Al Nahda Organization, Al Rajhi Trading, Ammana COO etc.
• Managing and leading the IT infrastructure team.
• Consolidating, managing and supporting hardware and software operations, include +80 physical and virtual servers providing 24/7 service to +5, 000 users.
• Managing infrastructure for Oger Systems, created overall infrastructure design, implemented 2 data center scenarios for business continuity, VMware virtualization on high availability cluster, designed network and managed applications access over Internet and Data links, hardening security, deployed Unified Threat Management (UTM), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Gateway Antivirus and Anti-spam.
• Created, updated and published The Oger Systems cyber policy documents.
• Designing and implementation of Video Surveillance System / CCTV, Access Control, Visitor Management System Intruder Alarms, Video Surveillance, Fire Alarm System Integration system for deewan project.
• Manage, design Disaster Recovery for Saudi Oger, formulized and lead technical and steering committees of 8 members, Proposed VMware virtualization, established network for data replication using solution of Libelle Business Shadow at off site.
• Leading the IT Infrastructure team in designing and implementation of high available multi-vendor WAN/ MAN connectivity over P2P, MPLS, IP-VPN and Internet links.
• Researched new technologies and calculating future needs to achieve accurate capacity planning. Negotiating hardware and software purchases and maintenance contracts.
• Developed, implemented and monitoring service level agreements with staff and customers, ensuring compliance and quick resolution of specific issues. Achieved 99% system availability and 98% customer satisfaction.
• Evaluating and selecting appropriate hardware for cooperate infrastructure including Networking devices, Security appliances, Servers and SAN/iSCSI Storages.
• Directing facilities management, including UPS, FM200 fire suppression system, HVAC and power generators. Negotiated vendor agreements.
• Provide technical consultancy advice with opportunity qualification, solution scoping, technical risk assessment, and overall solution formulation during initial presales and bid management.
• Perform annual Hardware/Software upgrade analysis and advise senior management on new technologies investment and adoption including Servers, Networking devices, Internet/web Content Filtering technologies, and Intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Perform monthly security Audits for proactive detection of security violations at Hardware and application levels, which includes performing internal controls testing, gap analysis, and remediation recommendations.
• Developing and maintaining detailed Run-Books based on ITIL standards for Infrastructure changes, Business as Usual procedures, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
• Implementing and managing IT policies and IT Risk Management best practices.
• Facilitating weekly team meetings, individual consulting to motivate team members and foster a cohesive work environment.
• Communicating regularly with senior management and both technical and non-technical personnel to build effective cross-functional teams and ensure accuracy, consistency, problem solving and on-time project completion.

The Organization compromise of different hosting solutions on Cisco, 3 COM, Enterasys, Aruba, Redline, Motorola, Cyberoam UTM, Blue Coat, Web Scenes, HP Open View, Solar Winds Orion NPM & APM, Fort iGATE 5000 Series, Barracuda Network Link and Load Balancer and various hardware and software application and SUN, HP and Dell servers at locally and internationally. Functionally I am responsible for the followings and executing these tasks in IT infrastructure projects for the organization and its various prestigious client around the GCC e.g. (Saudi Aramco, Al Othman Group office, KAPSARC, Excel, IMCO, USG, Takween, Gotech, AMO, FDLC, CET, UltraPak, SAAF, Plastico, Nada Main Office and its branch around GCC, Al Othman Travels, Ravsco, Motamayizz, VTS, GPT.
• Led the maintenance of network configuration documentation, documentation on maintenance, as well as standard operating procedures (SOPs) that pertain to network engineering.
• Worked independently and come up to speed quickly on new technologies.
• Participated in customer, contract and vendor meetings as required. Participate in documenting, and coordinating recommended changes to system architecture to accommodate technology upgrades and performance problems/issues.
• Provided analysis and recommendations pertaining to network optimization and enhancements to improve performance, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Provided operational support in a 24x7x365 environment which includes, routing and switching configuration changes, firewall rule changes, hardware maintenance, and network upgrade support.
• Provided root-cause analysis, contributes to the knowledge base, and provided recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process and technology.
• Rotational on-call duties required and mentored new staff in information technology
• Supported the network environments includes management of network and security system resources; risk management, security compliance, vulnerability scanning, patching, upgrades, multivendor firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers; network design and architecture problem analysis; network troubleshooting and network maintenance, measured against SLAs.
• Building complete Enterasys data-comm solutions for all Al Othman group companies and other external clients.
