My major task is Network and system administration. I have participated in the
2installation of the network and I also took a major role in the configuration of the servers
of the Ministry of Finance at Gazira State, Sudan, such as DNS server and DHCP server
and mail server. Further, my responsibility is to troubleshoot errors and to maintain and
expand the network as per the extension requirement of the Ministry. I am also
responsible for acquiring and installing new services and for planning and optimization of
the network. During my work at the Ministry I have represented the Gazira State in local onferences and exhibitions.
Moreover, I participated in designing the Gazira Trade Point network and in installing
e-commerce software and servers. As part of the continuous staff development program
at the Ministry, I enjoyed participating in several e-commerce training courses in Sudan
Trade Point.
Installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and software
infrastructure, Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection.
Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords, Monitoring
network
usage.
Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers and suggesting and
providing IT solutions to business and management problems.
Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards, and as well as
analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten
password.
Undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and
monitoring network security, particularly if the network connects to the Internet.
Providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of
IT
knowledge and competence and also supervising of other staff, such as help desk
technicians.
Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work.

Managing the website and keeping internal networks running.
