• Providing accurate and comprehensive statistical information for the performance of the telecommunications sector, information technology, post applications and delivery applications on both local regions and international.
• Numerous survey studies have been conducted for individuals and establishments in the communications and information technology sector, digital content platforms, postal services, and delivery applications.
• Building a detailed index of indicators that includes:
• The definition of the indicator
• Its classification
• Its calculation mechanism
• The periodicity of the indicator
• Preparing periodic reports for stakeholders.
• Supervise the administration and prepare the work plans
• The establishment of the statistics and data department at the ministry to be the sole data provider of the ministry and its subsidiaries: the National Digital Unit, ‘Yesser’ (e-governance), the Communications and Information Technology Commission and the Saudi Post.
• Building and operating a database, dashboard and ICT indicators of the Ministry. This function includes conducting ICT related surveys periodically.
• Formulating the statistics and data department program of work, objectives and priorities, and direct the department’s activities.
• Providing accurate, comprehensive and timely statistical information on the performance of the ICT sector on both the national and international levels; and providing high quality empirical analysis.
• Leading and directing the Statistics and data department and its expanding program of work, including managing relations with internal and external stakeholders, forming new partnerships with data providers and data beneficiaries.
• Preparing the ministry’s annual reports and the periodic statistical bulletin.
• Analysing the data and providing insights to the minister and deputies quarterly.
• Coordinate and integrate the statistics program with other programs within the Ministry.

• Evaluating data quality and interprets statistics for the preparation of reports.
• Writing reports evaluating sources of data for particular uses.
• Reviews and makes recommendations on plans of private consultants recruited by the Commission.
• Serving on technical committees set up by administrative and technical superiors.
