Raw materials for the manufacture of Ammonia are natural gas and air.



Desulfurization system is to remove sulfur and sulfide from the natural gas feed.



Reforming section is to reform the natural gas with steam and air in presence of nickel oxide catalyst to produce Hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.



CO conversion section is to convert CO to CO2¬ in presence of iron catalyst in high temperature converter and copper catalyst in low temperature converter.



CO2 removal system is to purify the synthesis gases and to yield the carbon dioxide supplying to urea plant.



Methanation system is to purify the synthesis gases for removal of carbon oxides.

And reduce CO + CO2 in synthesis gas to less than 10 ppm.



Ammonia is produced from hydrogen and nitrogen according to the following reactions.



3H2 + N2 -----> 2NH3 + Heat



The synthesis and refrigeration section is to produce the high quality anhydrous liquid ammonia.

I complete 5 years in Al-Jubail Fertilizer Company ALBAYRONI as Field Operator in ammonia plant.
