• Responsible to test backups to ensure to meet the business Recovery Time Objective (RTO).
• Ensuring the storage, backup, and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
• Administration of the database including performance monitoring and tuning.
• Troubleshooting and resolving database issues like. Integrity issues, lock, block and deadlocking issues etc.
• Responsible for managing indexes like recreating and reorganizing to clear fragmentation.
• Implementing and managing policies through policy management.
• Responsible for database security and also preventing data loss.
• Involved in the design of physical database schema, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshooting SQL Server-related CPU, the memory I/O, disk space, and other resource contention.
• Responsible for managing database access and privileges.
• Ensure data can be provided to support OLAP reports and various reporting requirements.
• Having good experience in constructing complex SQL Queries
• Preparing ad hoc reports for management, customer support department, and Clients.
