Supply Chain Planning:
Working with the Advisor/director in coordinating the planning and implementation of the Supply Chain plans in support of program implementation in close cooperation with internal stakeholders (finance managers, cluster leads and Programs officers, ) and external (suppliers). Supply Chain planning consists of the following components: procurement plans, storage plans, transportation plans, MMS work plans, distribution plans, MMS training plans, assets management, and supply chain improvement plan through regular assessments.
Supply Management:
Have always ensured that the appropriate commodities and health supplies are ordered for at the appropriate time, with appropriate quantities and in the appropriate warehouses, in accordance with the principles of the National Supply Chain and those of the donors. This includes working with the DHOs and MMS in ensuring that facilities submit quality orders to the national warehouses.
Inventory Management;
The Supply Chain department has been supporting facilities in the management and control of all stock operations and warehouse operational procedures as per SOPs. This includes the management of pharmaceuticals in collaboration with the program. It ensures the completion of the cyclical inventory of 80% every two months.
Asset Management:
The Supply Chain department has been overseeing the MMS operational support in terms of reporting computers and motorcycle repair and servicing and insurance in collaboration with procurement and logistics department, maintenance, monitor assets custody.
Compliance and ethics
Identifying and analyzing supply chain process non-compliance risks during redistribution, transportation and distribution by putting in place necessary SOPs to guide the operations.
Learning and development:
The Supply Chain Coordinator is accountable and accountable for overseeing all learning and development initiatives, assessing training needs and developing training plans for staff.
Budget development and financing proposals:
Participated in the development of scm budgets and planning, reviewed priority activities including associated services and the need for new mms training needs.
Data Analysis and Reporting
The Supply Chain department has always efficiently used Supply Chain tools such as “Stock cards, stock books, requisition and issue vouchers etc. to better analyze the stock movement progress. Data sources like DHIS2, weekly and monthly stock status, Rx solution, and pharmaceutical information portal have been utilized to get data, analyzed and communicated the results to all the necessary partners. achieved through continuous sending sms reminders, mentorships and coaching
of health facility staff in all the supported districts.

* Reduced alarming reported stock outs by 95% in all supported facilities there
maintaining the available stock levels with the minimum and maximum levels.
* Data quality assurance carried out in 480 health care facilities led to improved
recording in all the medical registers most especially in the
stockcards, dispensing log, Family planning register, OPD register, ANC and Post-
natal registers, PEP registers, requisition and issue books.
* Planned and conducted continuous medical education for medicines
management supervisors and health facilities staffs in 18 districts basing on
declining performance indicators and facility needs.
* Ensured that there was 100% availability of data tools and filing of documents in
the supported facilities. Supplied all registers, stock cards and box files for better
records management.
* Conducted physical counts of all supplied items both in the store and dispensary
ensuring that 100% of the supplies are better utilized and medical audits
through viewing delivery notes, stock cards, issue and requisition vouchers and
dispensing logs.
* Implemented good practices in the areas of stock and storage management
dispensing and prescribing by providing the necessary working tools like
counting trays, clinical guidelines, registers, MOH charts, dispensing clock and
supply management manuals.
* 80% of the supported facilities received certificates of accreditation from
National drug authority for maintaining high standards of drug management
practices. Here storage, dispensing, prescribing, stock management, ordering
and reporting indicators were assessed.
* 100% timely monthly and quarterly reporting to M and E staff at central office
was maintained .This improved areas of data analysis decision making.
* Worked closely with MMS to ensure that data is collected according to the plan
and submit timely reports and ensured availability and accessibility of data
collection tools to all MMS
* Involved district leaderships in planning and scheduling of activities that brought
in a sense of ownership by the district health teams. This improved performance

by 60% in all levels of health care. Attended all planned district meetings and
highlighted the achievements and discussed ways how to improve in areas that
were be lagging.
* .Worked with the Technical Advisor to implement the good pharmaceutical
practices(GPP) inspection in facilities that meet performance targets and
implement the accreditation ceremonies and other award schemes at facility
level.
* Developed standard operating procedures (SOPs) in various sections in order to
maintain quality.
* Ensured the necessary reference materials were available and used in the
facilities like Uganda clinical guidelines, EMHSLU, practical dispensing guidelines,
FM manuals, ART guidelines, EMHS management manual and many other
materials.
* Disseminated and ensured that government policies and regulations especially
concerning medicines management were implemented and followed.
* Organized and chaired district coordination and regional review meetings to
assess the progress of the indicators of medicines management and find way
forward.
* Ensured that USAID funds were utilized well and fully accounted for after every
activity conducted.
* Played administrative roles by ensured that all USAID equipments given to the
various districts were used following the laid guidelines like computers,
Motorcycles, modems and photocopiers.
