Direct and coordinate all activities related to Project Operation, directing
the Project Team to achieve desired performance in line with the project
program and milestones.
Ensure that the project quality system properly and efficiently satisfies
the requirements of the Contract.
Ensure that all contractual and legal matters related to the projects are
dealt properly and promptly.
Manage and administration of delivery of the Mechanical, Electrical,
Plumbing and Fire protection works undertaken form by managing the
key project content, coordination, and milestones including, planning,
engineering, construction, commissioning and handover under limited
supervision.
Monitor progress of all aspects of the work to ensure completion on time.
Notify the Project Team, Client and Contractor of any delays to the
works.
Provide solution in advance for impact on the works and interface with
other departments in the Operation Management Team.
Coordinate the MEP Contract packages with the main contract works and
other Contractors.
Oversee all aspects of the contract administration of project, monitor and
coordinate work performed by the subcontractor from the contractual
perspective.
Ensures that the Payment Application is billed on time and those
payments are received in a timely manner for the project.
Meet regularly with the Contractors, Client and professional team at site
and social events to develop close business relationship.
Plan coordinate and prioritize MEP Works to meet changing
project needs / requirements and authority from start to end
stage
Execution and Delivery - Monitors work to ensure MEP project built on
Schedule as per the contractual program without delay.
Directs/Coordinates installation, maintenance, support, documentation,
and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, local
codes, and customer requirements.
Taking responsibility for Electrical/Mechanical design drawing, material
submittal and related cost with proper documentation.
Manpower - Ensure optimal utilization and demobilization of labor and
subcontractors.
Developing reports, calculations, maps, drawings, tests scripts, and other
data to plan and design systems, components and sequence of
operations.
Follow up variation orders, time and cost claim, provisional sum orders,
follow up all letters and correspondences from consultant
Preparing reports and operation plan about MEP works, material
approval, sample approval, energy saving.
Finance - Awareness and control of commercial, project budget, and
financial aspects of contracts to protect the companies’ interest
Clearing all dispute between all stake holders regarding
contractual issues for MEP works, material, base line
program.
Value Engineering - Out of which opportunities should arise
for potential costs savings.
Holding broad knowledge of principles and practices of
related technical areas.
Handling all handing over works from start stage up to final
stage and provide technical support throughout all Execution
and DLP Period.
Handling any additional assignment required from
Management.
Directing, monitoring, troubleshooting and coordinating the electrical installations work at site and give report accordance to daily/monthly work progress status and schedules.
Prepare the materials and drawings submittal as per specifications, addendums, V.E and RFI and submit to consultant for approval.
Drawings designing (Single Line Diagram, Power & Light layout, Electrical Room Details, Schematic Diagram, Riser Diagram, ATS Layout, Load Schedule) as per the DEWA regulations and follow up the status with Consultant & Authorities for getting approval.
Appraising immediate superior of possible anomalies or of technical emergencies, taking immediate corrective measures if required.
To provide the daily update & site progress work to Project Manager about all Electrical activities
Site Follow-up with engineers, foreman & site in charge and providing the final update of controlled drawings before work executions.
Arranging daily inspections with the consultant/inspector.
Technical discussion of submittals & drawings with consultant to get the final approval as per priority.
Coordinating with Mechanical engineer, Civil engineer and Project engineer about the actual site installations.
Closing of NCR after taking corrective action.
Preparing documents to DEWA, Etisalat & Du for inspection.
Preparing the site for pre-commissioning, commissioning and handing over, especially for Civil Defense and DEWA.
Daily update of the log sheet for MIR, IR, RFI and NCR.
Supervising the Guest Room Management System (GRMS) work at site & connectivity between electric DB Panel & GRMS Panel through modules with ensuring proper work with intelligent system.
To prepare the weekly report to management for internal meeting about work progress status.
Guide project installation and commissioning on final testing.
Preparing testing and commissioning program and O&M Manual.
Quantity Surveying-Takeoff quantities from Tender, shop drawings & preparing material schedule.
Coordinating between MEP Services & solving coordination problems occurred during the site installations time faced with Fire Fighting, Drainage, Water supply, HVAC.
Making a variation (Time and Cost impact) for the additional work in sites & record them for onward report to management.
Making Daily Report for MEP & Monthly Work Plan for coordinating with civil contractor.
Following up with sales team and suppliers to push and assure that materials will come on time.
Following up the drawings, materials in order to get approval from consultant.
Calculating the quantity & adjust properly in order to submit officially for consultant.
Light Fittings installations, Emergency Lights Installations, Dimming Light System Installations / ABB, Messerschmitt.
Prepare management daily report about the work progress at site.
Arranging for materials conformity inspection, site inspection, RFI.
Lightning and Earth Protection System installations.
Dealing with electrical installations in the site & coordinating with civil engineers & mechanical engineers to avoid any inconvenience at future.
Installation of IP CCTV Camera, P/A Back Ground Music System, IPTV, PBX Installations, Data & Tel, SMATV, Intercom.
Installation of Fire Alarm System, Co Detection for Car Parking Areas.
Arranging for daily meeting with foremen and charge hands at end of the day to keep the work goes smoothly & to clear picture for all team about work issues related to site.
