Main achievements
•Able to rehabilitate, manage and train unproductive staff posted to my department on disciplinary cases from different sections of the hospital through counseling, engagement, motivation and proper supervision which have made them more productive -contributing positively to the overall hospital service delivery.
•Initiated production of personal protective equipment such as disposable masks and customized reusable masks used locally sourced raw materials during covid-19 for clinical and non-clinical staff at Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kebbi.
•Formulated antimicrobial liquid detergent and hypochlorite solution for daily hospital disinfection and it saved over 50 percent of hospital overhead costs of purchasing cleaning materials. This has boosted the availability of these products in the hospital.
• Innovated blood and mildew stain removal techniques in the laundry process.
•Designed method for testing soaps and detergent quality.
•Initiated development of standards for healthcare textiles through the Standard Organization of Nigeria with the intent of improving service delivery.
•Invited to join a member of a committee of the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council.
•Developed method for calculating the quantity of the operation room textiles (surgical gowns, drapes, scrubs) required.
•Minimized external maintenance costs of laundry equipment through routine maintenance.
•Reduced work-related accidents to zero through continuous sensitization of employees on the importance of safety practices in the working environment.
•Effectively trained supervisors and their subordinates in the Laundry procedures and thus reduced costs of employees' training on the management part.
•Reduced labor costs by efficiently managing the same number of employees with additional responsibilities over 5 consecutive years through employee engagement and optimization.
•Prevented supply of inferior items through proper inspection of awarded contracts at the point of delivery by contractors. In the process, some contractors refund the hospital materials worth millions of naira.
•Has increased employee motivation using different incentive techniques.
Main achievements
•Has initiated a community development project involved training students in skill acquisition from various backgrounds. Subsequently recognized with the State Honor Award (4th position out of over 2000 corps members served in the same batch) by the Executive Governor of Kebbi State.
•Receipt of commendation letter from Jega Local Government.
