pioneer team, we established the overall process of Planning and Scheduling department. We have put up work process manual and work standardization documents. The team managed to adapt the “best practices” in other Manufacturing plant.
•Efficiently overlooks Production line capacity by allocating proper manpower on each cell with designed work order schedule. On a daily basis, prepares work order instructions to be followed per work shift. However, immediate response and action is required in case there are unforeseen events like machine breakdown so as not to disrupt the overall daily output target.
•Formulated an enhanced Buying process as I was tapped to lead procuring major machined components as required in the Manufacturing Plant. This are 316L and 13 chrome materials which comprises 70% of the total material requirement hence needed proper streamlining on supply and demand.
•Achieved 90% (from 60%) on-time availability of outsourced materials. As the aim was to have a continuous supply of materials so Production Schedule is not disrupted, proper planning is required. Critical deliberation on when Purchase Order is to be raised to avoid over supply as well. It is achieved by successfully deploying a supplier representative in the Plant for ease of communication and effective delivery negotiations.
•Supply versus Demand planning accuracy
•Catered to productivity improvement in Process cell by rejection rate reduction with use of Lean Six Sigma concepts.
