As Business Development Manager I am responsible for improving the organization’s market position in Tile sales industry. I develop and implement effective business strategies to achieve higher profitability and maintain continues growth of company’s business in Tiles.
I work and coordinate with all departments and divisions in our organization with involvement to Tiles, ensuring proper system, rules, guidelines and applicable procedures are correctly set resulting to customer and management satisfaction. Be it procurement, warehouse handling of tiles, Marketing activities, merchandising and display, after sales services, trainings and most of all selling. I work closely with the Training department for any required Tile trainings, inductions and briefings of new and existing staffs.
I am directly involved in Retail Divison, working with all Retail showrooms, within the UAE and Qatar, but is also involve in Projects and Wholesale & Trade divisions in all their Tile requirements in whatever stage the sale is and as required. I work along with the senior sales managers within the company to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. I keep an extensive knowledge of current market conditions and latest trend to always be competitive, acquire and maintain a strong position in the Tile industry.
With the set organizational strategic goals in Tiles business, I lead in building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiation and closing of business deals. I conduct activities to find potential new customers, give product presentation to key people, designers and specifiers, accommodate their requests and ultimately convert them into business partners working on their clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services to predict their clients’ needs and continue to grow business with them in the future.
I personally handle the TILE STUDIO in Bagnodesign Flagship showroom, ensuring the display and set up of sample materials are effective and easy to use to accommodate all types of users be it end user clients, contractors, designers or consultants and even colleagues and other sales team members. Set up and maintenance of Tile Studios in other branches in UAE and Qatar are also inspected and organized by myself alongside the Merchandising team.
I communicate directly with Tile suppliers, maintain business relationship and ensure the company gets the maximum business benefit, pricing negotiation, product selections, delivery, marketing and merchandising support, turn-over bonuses etc. In return, maintain their satisfaction with the business they get from our company. I attend exhibitions, visit factories and get first hand updates from suppliers, then share to concerned department of the organization. Tile Brands we deal with are JOHNSON TILES, FAP, PANARIA, CERDISA, LEONARDO, DELCONCA, CERAMICA EURO, CERAMICA CAMPOGALIANO, VERDE199, FARO and other brands we deal with only on project basis.
