Steam turbine at Bolton TRF was damaged during reverse-power event. During the
insurance claim period, I was responsible for technical supervision of supplier design and
co-ordination of interfaces with other engineering disciplines. My responsibilities included;
• Perform field assessments/surveys of steam turbine hall, steam turbine auxiliaries and
electrical asset.
• Review existing turbine specification and supporting client with the tender proposal for
the new Steam turbine.
• Prepare Steam turbine specification complete with lube oil cooling and Gland steam
seal and other auxiliary system.
• Provide report on the overall control system and effectiveness in preventing this

Media City - BBC headquarters district cooling
Design engineer for the district cooling of BBC headquarters and heating for wider scheme.
Heat recovered from the CHP units was used in Thermax absorption chillers to generate
cooling for the BBC building.
Zero carbon project - SSE Greenwatt way project
Lead design engineer for the award winning EPC project, where innovative fuel-cells, solar
PV and solar thermal panels were integrated to provide power and heating to bespoke
