• Assist the RE with prompt exchange of correspondence and submittals to main contractor
• Confer with the senior engineers to resolve issues with the main contractor and reply RFI’s
• Revise and correct contractor’s payments in collaboration with the QS
• Monitor the progress of the submittal review in coordination with the core team, and respond to contractor as required
• Respond with appropriate and necessary levels of construction supervision (including JSI’s) to provide quality assurance in accordance with contract documents
• Coordinate the construction work with the local authorities and contractor; observe safety procedures, issue instructions as necessary to correct safety violations
• Assist the RE and QS in negotiations with the contractor regarding the value of claims and variation order
• Provide general oversight and guidance to site engineers and inspectors
• Review the contractor's progress at all times; monitor the materials incorporated in the work, check contractor's manpower and equipment.
• Assume RE duties during his absence
